​I am writing to inquire about my GitHub Sponsors application, which has been in "Pending" status for over 1 month.

​The Issue:

My dashboard shows a message saying "We need more information to continue," but I have already completed every requirement. There are no actions left for me to take.

​Current Status (See attached screenshot):

​✅ Stripe Connect: Linked and Active.
​✅ Tax Forms: Submitted and Verified (W-8BEN).
​✅ Identity & 2FA: Verified.

​Despite having Green Checkmarks on all steps, the system has not approved my profile. This delay is preventing me from funding my work.

Hey, GitHub Community discussions can’t review or approve Sponsors applications directly. If your Sponsors profile has been in “Pending” for over a month despite all steps showing completed, it usually means it’s waiting for manual review by GitHub staff. The green checkmarks only confirm submission . They don’t guarantee automatic approval.
Since your dashboard says “We need more information to continue,” but no actions are shown, the best step is to contact GitHub Support directly:

Select GitHub Sponsors as the topic.
Include:

1. Your GitHub username
2. Screenshot (like the one attached)
3. Confirmation that Stripe + tax forms are completed

Sometimes additional compliance or verification checks happen in the background and require manual intervention.
The Community forum cannot speed up or override this process only GitHub Support can review the application status.

If all steps show green checkmarks (Stripe connected, tax forms submitted, ID verified) and your profile is still “Pending,” that usually means it’s in manual review by the GitHub Sponsors team.

Unfortunately, there’s no way to expedite this from the Community side.

At this stage, the only actionable step is to contact GitHub Support and reference:

• Your GitHub username
• Confirmation that Stripe + tax forms are completed
• The screenshot showing the “We need more information to continue” message
• The fact that it has been pending for over a month

Sometimes additional compliance checks happen silently in the background, and only the internal team can see the exact reason for the delay.

Hopefully support can provide clarity on the next step.
