BodyHi community, does anyone know any good programming websites to help me learn how to code? I looked into houselearning.org to see, and I haven't decided yet if I should use HouseLearning's great courses, or something any better? Does anyone know anything? Guidelines

I recommend HouseLearning.org. It has a lot of things, programming (25+ languages), math (K-12), science (K-12) and much more! You should definitely try it. |

Great question! Here are excellent programming learning resources: Free Platforms:
HouseLearning vs Alternatives:
My Recommendation: Pro Tip: The best way to learn is by building projects! Combine courses with hands-on coding on GitHub. |

Great question! Based on the excellent suggestions above, here's my recommendation: Best for Beginners: Start with freeCodeCamp (free, comprehensive, highly respected) HouseLearning vs Alternatives:
My Top Tip: The best learning happens through hands-on projects! Combine any course platform with GitHub to build real projects and practice coding. Start with one platform and stick with it for 4-6 weeks before switching. Consistency matters more than having the "perfect" platform. |

I recommend Theodinproject if you are just learning. But if you’re looking for more comprehensive courses, go to: My opinion: You can find more courses by using Google’s search engine, or by reading code and asking an AI assistant to help you understand the concepts and provide examples to guide you. (Avoid letting it generate the code for you, as you won’t learn much that way). |

I would highly recommend watching BroCode on YouTube, he was great for me! Also really beneficial if you're trying to get started in Competitive Programming. |

Good question, I think it depends on what you need to do specifically, I've found Coursera courses very helpful for what I need to do |

There are lots of great websites to learn coding — and some are even free! Here are some popular ones people often recommend: Good places to learn programming: freeCodeCamp – Free lessons and real projects you can build Codecademy – Interactive coding practice for beginners Khan Academy – Easy-to-follow basics and step-by-step videos Coursera / edX – University-level courses (some free) W3Schools – Simple tutorials, especially for web coding (HTML/CSS/JS) Udemy – Paid courses, but often very affordable and practical I haven’t used HouseLearning.org, but you might want to compare: What language you want to learn (Python, JavaScript, etc.) Whether you prefer video lessons, exercises, or projects If you want free or paid courses Different sites work better for different people, so it’s okay to try a few and see what fits your style. |
