HEEEELP!!! GitHub, take my money! Can't subscribe to GitHub Copilot Pro - activation loop #168873

Trying to subscribe to Copilot. I only have Copilot Free, with no past paid subscription. Billing was successful, browser cleared, incognito tried—but clicking ‘Activate now’ still returns ‘Can’t find a subscription to reactivate’. Looks like a server-side activation bug. I have no active or past paid subscription, my billing information processed successfully, but clicking “Activate now” gives ‘Can’t find a subscription to reactivate'. I’ve tried clearing specific GitHub cookies, using incognito, and verifying my account, and I'm still stuck. AFAIK, this is a well-known bug in the GitHub subscription management service. I've opened the ticket https://support.github.com/ticket/personal/0/3611434 but GitHub support ignores me. Am I the only one with such a disastrous user experience? Help! Regards, Andreas |

My Ticket 3611434 was opened back on Wednesday, July 30. Support completely ignores me. There has been no reply at all. The same symptoms are in place, nothing has changed, and nobody cares. Dear GitHub, please, take my money!!! Whoever is seeing this, please, please, upvote this thread; maybe someone will pay a drop of attention to me finally. I really appreciate any help you can provide. Regards, Andreas |

2. Check your subscription status
3. Try the direct subscription URL
4. Alternative activation method

The same problem! I signed up for GitHub Copilot, and it was stated that there is a 30-day free trial. However, right after activation my card was charged $1 and then $10. At the same time, my account shows that the 30-day free trial is active and that I’m on the Free user plan. |
