A hardware project + Chrome extension that works as an external mute button for Google Meet. I got tired of searching for the on-screen mute button while in videoconferences, so I put this together. It works by simply acting as a Bluetooth keyboard and sending a specific keypress when the button is pressed, which the Chrome extension handles.

The microcontroller software is in the arduino directory. The Chrome extension is in the extension directory.

Hardware used:

Total cost ~$45 (prices from Adafruit as of 2019-05-17).

Additionally I designed an enclosure in Onshape. STL files to come when I finalize the design.

A 3D printed white box with a red arcade button on top resting on a black surface
