Unofficial. Muse Code App is an independent, community-made desktop client for the Muse Code CLI. It is not the official Muse Code app, and it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Meta Platforms, Inc. Meta, Meta AI, and Muse Code are trademarks of Meta Platforms, Inc.
A native macOS client for the Muse Code CLI, in the Meta AI design language. It wraps
the locally installed muse binary, so sessions are shared with the terminal: start a
session in the app, resume it with the CLI, and the other way around.
- Chat with Meta AI models (Spark 1.2, contributor tier) using your existing
muse loginor a Meta API key, with pay-as-you-go credits managed on dev.meta.ai - Full markdown rendering, reasoning display, and tool-call activity per turn
- Projects with per-folder session history, plus a git panel (branch, changed files, worktrees)
- Skills browser: inspect and toggle the skills the CLI loads
- Reasoning effort, approval mode, sandbox, and tool toggles mapped to CLI flags
- CLI update checks against the stable channel, app updates via GitHub Releases
Download the .dmg from
Releases, drag Muse Code to
Applications, and right-click Open on first launch (the build is unsigned).
The app ships with the Muse Code CLI bundled and seeds it on first run, so it works
out of the box. If you already have muse installed, the app prefers your install and
shares its sessions and login. First run walks you through browser login or an API key.
