First public beta of Orbit, a free, open-source Mac screen recorder with a draggable face-cam circle you can move after recording.

What's in it

• ⌘⇧5 capture bar: entire screen or a selected area, with a 16:9 lock that snaps to an exact 1920×1080 at 1080p
• Face Cam in a draggable, resizable circle; its path is remembered
• Editor: replay the path or pin the circle anywhere, resize, mirror, hide, re-record over playback, import a clip, export a constant-frame-rate MP4
• Everything stays on your Mac (~/Movies/Orbit)

Opening the beta
It isn't notarized yet, so macOS blocks it once. Drag Orbit to Applications, open it (it refuses), then System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway. Instructions are also in the DMG.

Requires macOS 15 or later. Please report anything odd in Issues.
