- My first time in GSA I was a contractor for 10x. I worked on several projects below.
- In the interim, I was a US Government employee at NIST, I worked on the following projects.
- My second contractor position was in the FedRAMP PMO working on automation tools and documentation in GSA/fedramp-automation.
- I am a US Government employee at GSA, I will work pick up some of these FedRAMP projects and start some new ones. Stay tuned!
- I am a foreign language nerd.
- I am relatively fluent in Egyptian Arabic. I studied Arabic and lived in Arab countries for many years.
- I am studying Mandarin Chinese again. I studied Bahasa Indonesia, Farsi, Mandarin Chinese, and Hebrew to varying degrees but I cannot speak or write them at an advanced level.
- Unsurprisingly, I love to travel.
- I am the stereotypical computer nerd.
- I was buying and customizing PCs as a child.
- I fell in love with different Linux and Unix distributions since I was a teenager.
- Hacking on Linux computers fostered to my love of free and open-source software. I am a proud Free Software Foundation member.
- I have a circle of fellow geeks and we competed in different Capture the Flags (CTFs), sometimes successfully.
- Beyond free and open-source software culture, I believe in paying it forward for cybersecurity, software, IT, and the in between.
- I volunteer in the Internet Engineering Task Force. And I will help anyone who reaches out who wants to try it.
- I am a committee chair for the ACSAC conference to give deserving students free or reduced-cost access to a high-quality conference with diverse researchers from academia, industry, and government.
- I am a Carpentries instructor, practicing inclusive teaching methods and course design for data science and software competencies around the world.
- I don't just like to laugh, in my mind I need to do it. So I consume a lot of comedy.
- I love funny TV shows and movies.
