    Yesterday I attended the AI for Talent Acquisition workshop by The Gen AI Academy led by Magdalena O. and honestly, it was one of those sessions that shifts how you think about your work. 🙌 As TA professionals, we’re often so focused on filling roles that we overlook how powerful AI can be, not just for saving time, but for sharpening our thinking, improving decision-making, and amplifying our overall impact. Below are some of my takeaways from the workshop: ✅ The art of prompting: A great prompt can change everything. Learning what makes one truly effective and tweaks in how you ask can lead to big differences in the results you get. ✅ Keeping AI honest: it can be confidently wrong. Knowing how to validate and cross-reference information helps you stay in control and ensures accuracy ✅ AI that works for TA specifically: Not AI in the abstract but mapped to the actual workflows we live in every day: sourcing, screening, stakeholder updates, and beyond. ✅ Influencing with confidence: leveraging AI to craft compelling, data-backed narratives, delivered with clarity and impact.     Great online Bizpedia board meeting today. The topic for today was AI. Key takeaways aways: - most businesses invest 93% of their AI budget on tech and 7% on people - for it to be successful we need to switch that over to 80% people and 20% tech - AI is an amplifier and implementing AI before reviewing value creation, robust systems and processes, and team capability, just means being dysfunctional faster - identify and develop key creative skills like critical thinking and judgement and embed that into your approach Thank you Mike Weston and Dave Birss for your talks, they were very engaging and informative.

But that model was designed for a world where knowledge was scarce and slow-moving. That world is gone. What’s emerging instead is something very different.   • Hi everyone It's Helena here, the co-founder of thegenaiacademy.com. For the past 6 weeks or more, I have been working distractedly, as much as time would allow while I sat with my mother in her final few weeks of life battling cancer. Sadly she passed last week. As I return to work, which an ability to actually concentrate and a motivation to do more and build more, I want to thank every client, every business partner, our AI experts and colleagues who have helped make this period that bit less stressful. The kindness shown by everyone has been truly heartening and has shown me that we are building the type of business I always wish I had in the past. When we started building this platform we wanted to make it as accessible to as many people as possible and for our partners and AI experts, we wanted to make it something that worked for everyone, a true partnership based on humanity, empathy, trust, honesty and equity. I feel like we are succeeding. Thank you all. Here's to a better 2026 #fuckcancer
