⚔️🛰️ OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT - ION-X just entered the front line of European space defense 🛰️⚔️   In a particularly important period for France and European defence policies, it is with pride but also gravitas that we announced this morning, during #ForumInnovationDefense2025, that ION-X has been selected by U-Space and Agence de l'innovation de défense to provide 2 HALO-100X ionic liquid electrospray thrusters for the French defense #TOUTATIS mission. At a time when Europe’s autonomy in space has become a strategic and vital priority, this milestone carries exceptional significance for the company. U-Space will develop the two satellites for the #TOUTATIS mission which will ultimately enable the French Space Command (Commandement de l'Espace) to simulate several in-orbit action scenarios and innovative operations, enabling the future of national defense capabilities in space. As part of this collective effort, ION-X will contribute to the high-precision manoeuvers required for close-proximity operations in orbit and offer extended mission lifetime. 📜 #IEPC debrief 📜 Last week, we published the outcome of years of hard work in front of the entire electric propulsion community for the very first time. We presented the results of our first flight but also of our latest system qualification tests on the ground. We shared what worked, but also what did not go fully as planned. Being transparent in such a sensitive industry is always a risk. At the same time, you also need to balance priorities; is it the right time to spend weeks on writing a paper while the team also needs to focus on the next thruster that has to be shipped in only a few weeks? And yet, we did both! International Electric Propulsion Conference 2025 in #London has been a tremendous event for ION-X. We are proud of the praises and encouragements we received from the community. Our transparency, honesty and technical progresses have received positive feedback from worldwide experts and we are happy to be in a position to contribute to the advancement of in-space electric propulsion science and global knowledge.
