Transforming cancer diagnostics

About us

MultivisionDx builds AI-powered decision-support tools for personalized diagnosis and treatment selection for solid cancer. Our computer vision technology integrates unique biological and spatial features of the tumor and its microenvironment, generating patient-specific tumor profiles for each patient. This approach allows clinicians to assess tumor aggressiveness and tailor the most effective treatment strategies for individual patients. Built on years of multidisciplinary research at the University of Helsinki and demonstrated in a 650-patient proof-of-concept study published in Cell, the technology now carries pending patents for both its biomarker-discovery platform and a first-in-class composite biomarker for head-and-neck cancer, establishing a new standard in tumor profiling.

Launching a healthcare spinout company is hard. It gets easier when you have great peers who face the same challenges and are happy to share their experiences. Yesterday MultivisionDx and Solid IO were recognized at the University of Helsinki annual Innovation gala as two 2025 spinouts, both working in cancer diagnostics to make sure patients get the right treatments when they need them the most. Congratulations to fellow female founders Noora Hujala and Heidi Haikala and the whole Solid IO team for their hard work, and thank you Helsinki Innovation Services Ltd for having us. Honored to receive this recognition on behalf of all the MultivisionDx founders: Fabien Bertillot, Sara Wickström, Michael Wittinger and János L..

  • One year ago today, we filed MultivisionDx as a company in the Finnish trade register as a spinout from University of Helsinki. We had two employees, a hot desk in a co-working space, and three months of runway. One year on, we have four full-time staff and a private office with a view of Meilahti campus, we closed a pre-seed funding round, and we are working on exciting collaborative projects to bring our spatial biomarker technology to clinical use. To celebrate, we had cake and candles 🎂 on-prem with our Helsinki-based team Karolina and János. Not pictured: Michael, Fabien and Sara celebrating from three different countries. 🧁

MultivisionDx secures €1M in pre-seed funding! 🚀     This investment will accelerate the development of our spatial biology platform and transform personalized diagnostics to improve patient outcomes in the clinic. The funding round, led by Antler with significant contributions from Helsinki University Funds, Kaikarhenni and a Finnish angel investor, enables us to: 🔬 Expand and scale our spatial biology platform  🔬 Advance validation with leading cancer centers  🔬 Accelerate our path toward a diagnostic that truly benefits patients Our belief is simple:  The next leap in precision medicine will come from providing an in-depth understanding of the tumor together with its microenvironment - spatially, quantitatively, and at scale. And we are building exactly that. As a team we are proud of this achievement, highly grateful for the trust of our investors, and excited for what’s next. Full story in the comments 👇

  • MultivisionDx at Mayo Clinic: Accelerating Our Path Into the U.S. Market 🚀 Karolina Punovuori and Michael Wittinger returned from an inspiring week in Rochester, where MultivisionDx had the opportunity to visit Mayo Clinic as part of Business Finland´s AMPlify2025 Program, a fantastic initiative helping Finnish Health-tech companies accelerate their path into the U.S. market. During our visit, we met with internationally leading oncologists and pathologists to initiate collaborations that will help us further develop and adapt our spatial-biology diagnostic test with the long-term goal of enabling a smooth U.S. market entry. We also joined the Beahrs Surgical Innovation Summit, an energizing gathering where we learned about the latest developments in surgical oncology, digital pathology, and AI-driven diagnostics. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/dxH-haF3 These are exactly the fields where MultivisionDx sits, at the intersection of #cancerbiology, precision surgery, and AI-powered tissue analysis. The insights and connections from this week will strongly push our next phase of development. Thanks to Business Finland for opening this door and Mayo Clinic Business Development for hosting us. Excited what comes next!
