My virtual trip around the globe continues, as I deep dive current and future labour market trends with some of our brilliant Gi Group Holding managers. 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚: One of our biggest challenges is attracting and engaging people from different generations with very different needs.  Being innovative, promoting upskilling and reskilling, and customizing benefits are among our top strategies to face this challenge. 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐟𝐚𝐧𝐨: I’ve been a professor for over 30 years and I love connecting with my students. Engaging with a young generation who often has a different mindset can be challenging, of course, but it’s also incredibly rewarding. The contributions they can bring with their innovative ideas are invaluable and when there are synergies across generations, the results are truly outstanding. 🗣𝐀 𝐭𝐢𝐩 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐫 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐤𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐝? 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚: Especially if your sector is facing a candidate shortage, being innovative and creative in your talent strategy and boosting your employer branding. As you know, in Spain we have the very real problem of absenteeism. It’s sky high - so the issue is not just how to attract talent, but how we keep talent engaged as well. 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐟𝐚𝐧𝐨: I completely agree – in our sector we should talk more about engagement, not just about retention. What we try to do at Gi Group Holding is be the trusted partner for our clients, helping them meet these challenges fully. This often means starting from the basics: ensuring they are reliable, transparent, and concrete in their purpose is fundamental.  🗣𝐀 𝐭𝐢𝐩 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐣𝐨𝐛 𝐢𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐲?  𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚: Training!  With each passing day, soft skills like adaptability, teamwork, and critical thinking will be key to boosting your professional career. Companies need to design learning plans that enable their employees to stay continuously up to date. 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐟𝐚𝐧𝐨: You’ve touched on a really crucial point. I would also add that educational institutions must build even closer ties and coordinate with the labor market to keep up with the fast pace of change. And workers will need to adopt a new mindset. Lifelong learning is key for candidates and employers alike – it's the only way to remain competitive in this constantly evolving labour market.
