Hello!
[edit source]Hi there! I don't think we've had the pleasure, but I've known of your work for some time, particularly the quite nicely written Radu Lupu article. I myself write on classical music quite a bit, currently working to clean up our Bach and Takemitsu articles. I've seen your new edits to the Schubert GA you wrote a few years back—if you're aiming for FA or anything, please let me know if I can be any assistance. I'm happy to review or potentially contribute (Schubert, or anything else) wherever you find most helpful. Of course, I have no intention to overstep—glad to see you around! Aza24 (talk) 00:10, 13 July 2026 (UTC)
- Hi @Aza24! Thank you so much for your very kind and warm message
I am a great devotee of Takemitsu's music and of course Bach's, and I'm especially happy that the Bach article is now a GA. I will definitely check out both articles whenever I have free time and see what I can do to contribute. In the meantime, yes, it's my main goal now to get Schubert's article to an FA (and PR before that, as is the norm). It needs a ton of work--I think the main issue is that the biography relies too much on Victorian-era biographies. Having read many of those early biographies, I feel with conviction they are no less than hagiographies that are overly romanticized. Modern scholarship, although not without its flaws, seems to me less idealized, more objective, more verifiable... Also the sections vis-à-vis his music and style are lacking in rigorous musicological substance. Of course, if you have time, I would be delighted by any assistance you can provide. But please don't worry at all if you have other priorities! With my warmest regards, Zingarese talk · contribs (please

- Thank you! Don't look too closely at either article as they are a bit of a mess! I had similar concerns on the Schubert page, so glad we agree. I had some other potential improvements (perhaps also on your mind), but I'll leave them on the article talk page. Nice to meet you! Aza24 (talk) 22:06, 13 July 2026 (UTC)
- I'm sure with your efforts that both articles will end up in fantastic shape sooner than later! And thank you for listing your improvement ideas; needless to say I agree with them all! I have other ideas which I will list there too. Keep in touch, Zingarese talk · contribs (please

Articles for Creation backlog drive
[edit source]
Hello Zingarese:
WikiProject Articles for creation is holding a month long Backlog Drive in August!
The goal of this drive is to reduce the backlog of unreviewed drafts to less than a month of outstanding reviews from the current 3+ months. Bonus points will be given for reviewing drafts that have been waiting more than 30 days. The drive is running from 1 August 2026 through 31 August 2026.
You may find Category:AfC pending submissions by age or other categories and sorting helpful.
Barnstars will be given out as awards at the end of the drive.
There is a backlog of over 5000 pages, so start reviewing drafts. We're looking forward to your help! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:38, 19 July 2026 (UTC)
- If you wish to opt-out of future mailings, please remove yourself from the mailing list or alternatively to opt-out of all massmessage mailings, you may add Category:Wikipedians who opt out of message delivery to your user talk page.
Secret love song edits
[edit source]hello zingarese,
I have added various sources to where you can find seans cover of the song on streaming via Apple music, YouTube, etc.
https://music.apple.com/us/album/secret-love-single/1522630750
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uAmd9fFAGcE&list=RDuAmd9fFAGcE&start_radio=1
Even these sources are denied. Its not an official page as Sean went missing in cambodia in 1970 and was likely executed by khmer rouge.
Seans version was released via arvee records in 1961 which is now a division of another holdings company. ~2026-41113-19 (talk) 22:04, 22 July 2026 (UTC)
