Karsten Neugebauer is a german technology entrepreneur from Schleswig-Holstein. In 2023, G2K was acquired by ServiceNow, a U.S.-based enterprise software company.[1][2][3] Following the acquisition, Neugebauer co-founded MAGNAT, a venture capital fund focused on B2B technology companies.
Education
[edit]Neugebauer studied business administration at the University of Hamburg, graduating with a Diplom-Kaufmann. He subsequently earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Babson College in the United States.[4][5]
Career
[edit]G2K Group
[edit]After a career in technology companies and consulting firms, Neugebauer co-founded G2K Group GmbH in Berlin in 2013, together with Omar El Gohary.[4][6] The company developed software using artificial intelligence and Internet of Things technologies to connect real-time data from physical environments — including retail, sports venues, and government facilities — with enterprise workflow systems.[4][7] G2K established operations in Berlin, Cairo, Dubai, and Mexico City, growing to employ more than 200 people.[3][8]
In 2022, G2K was recognised as one of the top 100 most innovative companies in Germany by the TOP 100 innovation competition.[7] The same year, Neugebauer gave an interview to Diplomatisches Magazin describing the company's global expansion strategy and projects in the MENA region, including work associated with the Neom urban development project in Saudi Arabia.[4]
In May 2023, ServiceNow announced it had agreed to acquire G2K.[9][8] The transaction was reported by German and international media, including Die Zeit, Der Standard, Die Welt, Computer Weekly, and Berliner Wirtschaft.[1][2][10][3][11]
Post-acquisition
[edit]Following the acquisition, Neugebauer served as Vice President of Sales and Business Development for IoT Solutions at ServiceNow.[5] He subsequently co-founded MAGNAT, a venture capital fund focused on B2B technology startups.[12]
In 2026, Neugebauer gave a keynote interview to ICTkommunikation and spoke at the Digital Summit Liechtenstein in Vaduz, where he discussed entrepreneurship, scalable AI innovation, and Europe's role in the global technology landscape.[13][14]
