👋Progress at pace doesn’t happen on its own: meet Marcin Dudek Monopile installation is now underway for the wind turbines and offshore substations at Baltica 2, a project being developed by PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna and Ørsted. Long before the first vessel arrived on site, one team was already lining up every moving part behind the scenes. Marcin Dudek, our Offshore Site Manager, helps set the daily rhythm at sea. He coordinates construction crews, marine operations, and service teams so the work can progress safely, precisely, and at pace. Based in Gdańsk, our offshore site team also runs safety briefings, supports environmental monitoring, and manages key interfaces across offshore substations and subsea cables. And for Marcin, that means leading risk assessments, ensuring compliance with maritime regulations and environmental safeguards, and working closely with suppliers, subcontractors, port authorities, and vessel operators to make the most of every weather window 🌊🚢 Marcin puts it simply: “I’m proud to be part of Poland’s energy transformation through my work on Baltica 2, which is currently the largest offshore wind farm project in Poland and is helping pave the way for Poland’s wider energy transition.” 🎥 Take a look behind Baltica 2 with Marcin (VIDEO) #FacesofBaltica2

Om os
Ørsted is the global leader in offshore wind power and is one of the largest renewable energy companies in the world. Within a decade, we transformed from being one of Europe’s most fossil fuel-intensive utilities to being ranked as one of the most sustainable energy companies in the world. Today, we’re guided by a clear vision: to create a world that runs entirely on green energy. We provide countries, companies, and communities with sustainable, reliable, and cost-competitive energy solutions, including offshore and onshore wind, solar, renewable hydrogen, and energy storage. We built the world’s first offshore wind farm back in 1991, and with over 2,000 turbines at sea, we’ve installed more offshore wind capacity than anyone else. In total, we own or operate over 17 GW of renewable energy capacity across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. We know that to build renewable energy at pace and scale, we must build it right. We commit to developing and operating our assets in harmony with nature and in line with the need for science-based climate action. We prioritise integrity and safety in our operations, and we respect the human rights and diverse values of every employee and stakeholder. As a global renewable energy leader, we leverage the curiosity and passion of our people to innovate and take new or existing technologies to scale, collaborating with governments, suppliers, and our industry partners to make green energy solutions a reality.

Update from Greater Changhua – the pace is picking up offshore in Taiwan 💪 The 920 MW Greater Changhua 2b and 4 offshore wind farms have achieved two important milestones: ⚡ All 66 array cables have been successfully installed and energised. ⚡ All 42 wind turbines at Greater Changhua 4 (583 MW) have now been successfully connected to Taipower’s grid and are generating electricity. We’re continuing commissioning and grid integration works to ensure that all the complex systems of the offshore wind farms – from subsea cables to offshore substations – work together seamlessly, enabling reliable operation day in and day out. Progress continues towards full commercial operation, bringing renewable electricity to Taiwan’s grid and supporting key industries in building a resilient, low-carbon future. 🌊⚡

There’s no Ørsted without our suppliers 🤝 Behind every wind farm is a network of suppliers that make it possible – and many of our partners in the UK are now taking that expertise global. Over the last five years, we’ve signed major contracts with 255 UK companies, and more than half have worked with us on two or more contracts. That matters because strong supply chains aren’t built transaction by transaction. They’re built through long-term partnerships, shared experience, and trust 🙌 Nearly 30 % of the companies in our latest UK supply chain map have supported Ørsted projects outside the UK, with many developing their capabilities by working on some of our early UK offshore wind projects before expanding globally. Companies like BGB Group, pictured here, have gone on to support projects in the US as well. Our suppliers are key to every stage of what we do – from developing and building wind farms to operating them safely and efficiently. There are far too many great partners to mention in one post, but you can explore the full 2026 UK Supply Chain Map here: https://lnkd.in/e-c9k2qj

📢 Big milestone alert: The first of 197 monopiles has been installed at Hornsea 3 Offshore Wind Farm👏 A team of more than 200 experts from Ørsted and its contractors, Cadeler and Menck, are working closely together to ensure the safe installation of all 197 monopiles within the Hornsea Zone. Once completed, Hornsea 3 will be capable of generating 2.9 GW of renewable energy – enough to power more than 3.3 million UK homes. The monopiles are the largest we’ve ever used offshore in Europe, and each will support a 15 MW wind turbine. This great milestone demonstrates our strategy execution at scale and our commitment to supporting Europe’s energy security and competitiveness.

111 foundations. Installation at Baltica 2 has officially begun 🌊⚡ Together with PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna, we’re installing the foundations for Baltica 2 – Poland’s largest offshore wind project under construction. Over the coming months, 111 monopiles will be installed in the Baltic Sea by Van Oord – 107 for wind turbines and 4 for offshore substations. This milestone marks the start of large-scale offshore construction and brings Baltica 2 significantly closer to first power in 2027. With a capacity of 1.5 GW, Baltica 2 will generate enough renewable electricity to power around 2.5 million households in Poland. Beyond delivering renewable energy, the project will help strengthen Poland’s energy security and support a more resilient, independent European energy system 🌬️ #Baltica2 #OffshoreWind #Ørsted #PGE

This past quarter, Ørsted generated more renewable energy than ever before, delivering secure, green, and affordable energy powering millions of households and businesses across three continents. In fact, we've generated 27 % more offshore power compared to Q1 in 2025, and we delivered an EBITDA (excluding new partnerships and cancellation fees) of DKK 9.5 billion. These numbers will only increase as our 8.1 GW offshore wind farms under construction are plugged into the grid, delivering green electricity to millions of people. At the same time, we're witnessing the second global energy crisis in less than five years. This comes at an unacceptably high price for households and businesses – making the needed shift to renewable energy more important and obvious than ever, especially for Europe. Our CEO, Rasmus Errboe, addresses this in the video, advocating that an energy system based on solar, onshore wind, and not least offshore wind is the only reliable and affordable alternative to imported fossil fuels for Europe.

Today, we completed the divestment of our European onshore business. This transaction marks an important step in sharpening our strategic focus on offshore wind in our core European markets, while strengthening our capital structure. As part of the transition, more than 200 of our colleagues have moved on from Ørsted to join Perigus Energy – a new stand-alone company established within Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners. We thank them for their contributions and wish them every success in this next chapter 💚
