Entering the Now Symposium — Session 04 — Purpose Thursday 11 June 15:30 — 17:00 What do we choose to overlook, and what does that cost us? In a world where landfills are overflowing, and oceans bear the burden of the debris we discard, waste is no longer out of sight, nor out of mind. This session asks a crucial question: in the face of excess, does the world really need another design? Part 1 — Featuring guest speaker Natsai Audrey Chieza, designer and founder of Faber Futures, the “Waste“ session explores the design industry’s role in confronting overproduction, rethinking materials, and redefining value. Challenging us to consider whether creating less might, in fact, lead to more meaningful designs. Part 2 — A Design Salon featuring Caroline Till, founder of future design consultancy TILT and Anette Timmer-Larsen, Head of Sustainability at Tarkett along with Natsai Audrey Chieza. 🏷️ Book tickets now: https://lnkd.in/e3-PSm9K

  • Entering the Now Symposium — Session 03 — Purpose Thursday 11 June 9:30 — 11:00 What begins as a blank page rarely stays empty for long? From uncertainty comes intention. From nothing comes a reason to create. In this session, the theme “Purpose” explores how clarity emerges through the creative process, shaping not only what we design, but why we even design at all. Because purpose is more than a starting point. It is a compass. It guides decisions, defines direction, and gives meaning to form. Part 1 — Featuring guest speaker Alice Rawsthorn, British design critic and author, this session invites you to reflect on the role of intention in design today, and what it truly means to create with purpose. Part 2 — Featuring guest speakers Luca Nichetto, designer and founder of Nichetto, HAYON JAIME and critical designer Ineke Hans, this Design Salon explores how creativity and innovation often begin with uncertainty, ideas, and exploration before developing into something meaningful and purposeful. 🏷️ Book tickets now: https://lnkd.in/eKdWAE5v

  • Entering the Now Symposium — Session 02 — Things That Matter Wednesday 10 June 15:30 — 17:00 What makes something worth keeping? In a world of constant accumulation, “Things That Matter” asks us to look beyond aesthetics, beyond function. Do the objects we surround ourselves with hold memory, meaning, and emotional value? Or are they simply occupying space? Part 1 — Featuring guest speaker British artist and designer Yinka Ilori, this session explores the idea that design is not about having more. It’s about appreciating what we already have and choose to keep. If something doesn’t add to your life, perhaps it’s time to subtract it, and rediscover what truly matters. Part 2 — Featuring guest speakers Emmanuel Plat, Jay Osgerby and @chiara di ponti from design duo Studiopepe, this session will explore how collectible objects are rarely just beautiful products. They embody a clear idea, a strong point of view, and a lasting emotional or cultural resonance. 🏷️ Book tickets now. https://lnkd.in/e48sTQS6

  • We asked four designers about the moments that matter in their lives. Linda Korndal touches on “emotional longevity” in her designs, while Maria Bruun speaks about awakening the senses through unconventional design choices. Chris Liljenberg Halstrøm shares how struggle often leads to the best ideas, and Søren Rose reflects on his process as a result of working on problems that have yet to be solved. Watch the films to discover the moments that shape these four designers’ creative practices, and explore their personal recommendations for this year’s 3daysofdesign: https://lnkd.in/eVAcVSYm. ✨

  • Entering the Now Symposium — Session 01 — Being Present Wednesday 10 June 9:30 — 11:00 What becomes possible when we truly exist in the moment? In an era shaped by constant distraction and future-facing thinking, “Being Present“ invites a return to awareness. To show up, fully and consciously. Because it is here, in the now, that old thought patterns loosen their grip, and new perspectives begin to emerge. Part 1 — Featuring Paola Antonelli, Senior Curator of Architecture & Design at MoMA, this talk explores the power of presence as a creative force. One that allows us to see differently, think clearly, and act with intention. Part 2 — Philosopher Vincent F. Hendricks joins part two of the session to encourage us to see differently, think clearly, and act with intention. 🏷️ Book tickets now: https://lnkd.in/eRzqQsv2

  • We are Now Entering the Now While most people are preoccupied by the past or too busy planning the future, the one place they overlook is the present. To experience the power of the present, this summer we’re hosting a 3daysofdesign Symposium called “Entering the Now“. Where we ask questions without quick answers:   What is worth designing? What is worth protecting? What kind of life are we shaping? How do we make it matter? Curated by Tey Bannerman and Veronica D'Souza, “Entering the Now“ brings together leading voices from around the world representing a cross-section of disciplines within design, architecture, and art. To explore the how we shape, and are shaped by the present. The Symposium is comprised of five sessions taking place during our 3daysofdesign. Each one focuses on a different facet of our festival theme: Make This Moment Matter.   One shared invitation to pause, question, and participate. Meet Paola Antonelli (@paolantonelli), Yinka Ilori (@yinka_ilori), Alice Rawsthorn (@alice.rawsthorn), Natsai Audrey Chieza (@natsaiaudrey), Anupama Kundoo (@anupama_kundoo)… and many, many more. Join the conversation at 3daysofdesign. And help Make This Moment Matter. Collectively. Celebrating collaboration at the Symposium. As Delta Air Lines (@delta) marks 35 years flying to Copenhagen, they’ll unveil a dedicated “Flow State” lounge with 3daysofdesign at KLUB’s courtyard — a space to pause, connect, and reflect. Plus, Anthropic (@claudeai)will host a free hands-on workshop exploring the intersection of AI, ethics, and design. Book your tickets now. 🎟️
