Philipp Lackner hat dies repostetPhilipp Lackner hat dies repostetI just earned the certificate for "Professional App Development with CI/CD" by Philipp Lackner. My Android experience has been in closed POS ecosystems, so Google Play, the Play Console, and tools like Bitrise and Firebase App Distribution were areas I hadn't worked with directly. This course covered them end to end: GitHub → Bitrise → Firebase → Google Play, plus instrumented tests in CI and build variant management. A practical addition to a stack I was already familiar with from a different angle.

Philipp Lackner hat dies repostetPhilipp Lackner hat dies repostetI am happy to have accomplished new deep dive knowlege about Kotlin Coroutines and Flows by completing Philipp Lackner's masterclass and exam. Using Coroutines and Flows in development may look easy from a high level perspective, but can become tricky in a heavy lifecycle dependent environment in Android development. Even if you are a Senior or very experienced developers I can only recommend this masterclass to learn all the details and pitfalls for writing your own suspend functions or converting callbacks from low level APIs to modern app architecture with Coroutines, Flows and Jetpack Compose. The key lessons froms this course are: 1️⃣ Coroutine Basics: Suspend functions, Coroutine Scopes, Jobs & Deferreds 2️⃣ Coroutine Contexts: IO, Default, Main & Main Immediate Dispatcher 3️⃣ Coroutine Cancellation: Avoding various traps and bugs 4️⃣ Coroutine Error Handling 5️⃣ Coroutine Synchronization 6️⃣ Flow Fundamentals: SharedFlow, StateFlow, Cold & Hot Flows, Callback Flow 7️⃣ Intermediary Operators & Terminal Operators 8️⃣ Testing Coroutines & Flows Big thanks to Philipp Lackner for creating such great course! #Kotlin #Android #KotlinCoroutines #Flows #AndroidDevelopment #JetpackCompose PL Coding GmbH

Philipp Lackner hat dies repostetPhilipp Lackner hat dies repostetCompleted a big milestone today: I’ve just earned a Certificate of Achievement for Philipp Lackner’s course “Mastering Automated Testing of Industry-Level Android Apps.” Over the past weeks I’ve been deep-diving into unit tests, integration tests, UI testing, test-driven development, and building a more reliable CI pipeline for Android projects. This course helped me solidify best practices for writing clean, maintainable tests and catching bugs early in the development process. Excited to start applying these techniques to my Kotlin/Android and KMP projects, and to keep improving the quality of the apps I build. If you’re also into Android testing or working on large-scale apps, would love to connect and share experiences. By the way "rainxch zed" is my nickname that i use everywhere, so please just think that there's not a rainxch zed but Usmon Narzullayev 😅 Thanks to Philipp Lackner for this amazing course 🙌” #AndroidDevelopment #AndroidTesting #UnitTesting #UITesting #CleanArchitecture #Kotlin #KotlinCoroutines #JetpackCompose #SoftwareTesting #TDD #SoftwareDevelopment #MobileDevelopment #Automation #CI #QualityAssurance

Philipp Lackner hat dies repostetPhilipp Lackner hat dies repostetI’m thrilled to share that I’ve completed the DROP TABLE Mentoring Program from PL Coding GmbH — and what an incredible journey it has been! 🙌 Over the past 12 weeks, I had the privilege of participating in a deeply transformative mentorship led by Philipp Lackner and supported by Kai Cilliers and Juan Gaines. Throughout the program, we built Tasky, a complete task & event management app (a lighter version of Google Calendar). With 60+ pull requests, each meticulously reviewed line by line, this experience elevated my development skills to a whole new level. This mentorship wasn’t just about building features — it was about learning how to think, design, and code like a senior Android developer. I feel like I have finally learned how real-world app development works, how to write clean and testable code like a senior developer, and how to approach architectural decisions with clarity. I truly boosted my knowledge and skills by 10× and became far more confident in writing production-grade, senior-level code through this mentorship program. 🚀 🔥 Key Skills & Takeaways During the program, I gained hands-on experience in essential modern Android development practices, including: 🔐 Secure Authentication Flows with proper token management 📅 Agenda management with events, reminders, notifications 🎨 Compose UI with custom components (FAB menus, date pickers, etc.) using Jetpack Compose 🌐 Offline caching, sync logic, and working smoothly without network 🔔 Precise notification scheduling across device states 🔧 Efficient, rate-limit–friendly API integrations One of the most exciting parts of the program was the direct, high-quality feedback from Philipp himself and his team. Having my approaches validated, refined, and challenged by someone of his caliber helped me understand the importance of contextual decision-making — when to apply clean architecture heavily, and when to keep things lightweight for agility. These are the nuances that define an industry-ready developer. 🙏 Acknowledgments Choosing this mentorship program was one of the best and most rewarding decisions I’ve made for my development journey. Heartfelt gratitude to Philipp Lackner, Kai Cilliers and Juan Gaines for their dedication, guidance, and the incredible learning environment they created. This certification marks another step in my journey of continuous growth, and I’m more excited than ever to build smarter, cleaner, and more scalable Android applications. 🚀 For any Android developer considering this program — just do it. It’s a career-changing experience. Philipp Lackner hat dies repostetPhilipp Lackner hat dies repostetToday the Mobile Dev Campus leaderboard was revealed… and I managed to secure 1st place for the 6th month in a row (7x total first places). 🏆 For the last half year, I’ve been consistently building apps and completing challenges inside Philipp Lackner’s Mobile Dev Campus – from Figma mockups to production-style architectures, reviews, and daily discussions with other mobile developers. This streak means a lot to me as a native Android & Kotlin Multiplatform developer, because it reflects not just learning, but showing up every month, shipping, and improving under real constraints. Huge thanks to Philipp and the community for the feedback, Q&A calls, and motivation. 🙌 Now I’m excited to push these skills even further in my open-source projects and real-world apps. #android #kotlin #kotlinmultiplatform #mobiledev #learninginpublic #plcoding

Philipp Lackner gefällt dasPhilipp Lackner gefällt dasI’m incredibly happy and honoured to share that I am now officially a Google Developer Expert for Android. This has been a long journey of writing, teaching, speaking, recording, mentoring, and trying to contribute meaningfully to the Android community; one article, one video, one talk, and one conversation at a time. Becoming a GDE represents years of work, persistence, community involvement, and a deep love for sharing knowledge around Android, Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and software engineering. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported me along the way: the Android community, GDG Heraklion, next.app devCon, ProAndroidDev, ITNEXT, my colleagues, friends, mentors, and everyone who read an article, watched a video, attended a talk, or gave me feedback. This is a very special milestone, but also a new beginning. I’m excited to keep learning, keep sharing, and keep helping developers grow. Special thanks for the support, guidance, advice, trust, inspiration, and content that helped me get here to Google Developer Experts team, Janise Tan • 陈美璇, Monika Janota, Alexis Einhorn, Ben Weiss, Ilias Papachristos, Georgios Soloupis, Tom Colvin, Danny Preussler, Katya Vinnichenko, Nicole Terc Vega, Merabi Kutalia, Kiarash Irandoust, Konstantinos Filios, Philipp Lackner, and an special "thank you" to Novibet, the company I work at, for believing in me and sponsoring my last DroidCon talk at Paris. #GoogleDeveloperExperts #GDE #Android #Kotlin #JetpackCompose #AndroidDev #DeveloperCommunity

[EN] Hello everyone, I’ve been studying KMP (Kotlin Multiplatform) for a while now, and after a few months I was able to complete Philipp Lackner’s course, which gave me a solid foundation to start working on larger projects. The idea of the course was to build a messaging app that would share both the business logic and the UI code. For that, we used Compose Multiplatform. I have to admit that since I work with Compose daily, it made the UI part much easier, although some features had to be implemented natively (like push notifications). Anyway, I’m excited to start putting all this knowledge into practice and build something that’s useful for others (and for myself as well 😁) Below you can see how the app turned out on Android and iOS. (Using adaptive layouts was also really cool, the app ended up with a great design on tablets as well.)
