Led by GMV and leveraging Galileo’s Public Regulated Service (PRS), the project addresses the growing need for robust and trustworthy synchronization solutions in mission-critical environments, including scenarios where resilience against jamming and spoofing is essential. GMV, Rheinmetall and Aurea Avionics have carried out joint trials with the Spanish Army’s Paratrooper Brigade (BRIPAC) to evaluate the integration of the Seeker UAV system with Talos, GMV’s artillery command and control system, and DUAL-EIMOS, Rheinmetall’s mounted mortar system. The trials, conducted at the “Príncipe” Base in Paracuellos del Jarama (Madrid), assessed coordination and real-time information exchange between sensors, platforms, and fire support systems under representative operational conditions. Last week, during #CYSATEurope2026, we had the opportunity to showcase GMV's vision and capabilities in space cybersecurity to key representatives from the institutional and technological ecosystem. GMV is developing a new radio frequency spectrum monitoring system to detect and analyze interference in satellite communications, helping strengthen the security and resilience of space-based services in an increasingly congested orbital environment. Co-funded by the European Space Agency - ESA (ESA) through the ARTES program, the solution will combine radio frequency monitoring, orbital data, meteorological information, and advanced analysis techniques to support satellite operators and public authorities in ensuring safer and more reliable communications. Quantum optimization is moving from theory to real-world impact. At the Berlin Quantum Hackathon 2026, the team Beerantum, including our colleague Anna Kristha Almazán Favela, developed a hybrid quantum-classical approach to optimize large-scale bus crew scheduling for public transit systems. The project earned: 🥉 3rd place overall 🥈 2nd place in the Quantum Optimization Challenge A great example of how quantum computing can help tackle complex industrial and mobility challenges.
