    BST has released a Type K thermocouples a few weeks ago. During this period, many customers raised some questions, here is the summary for reference: 1, Measurement drift at high temperatures. Long-term exposure (especially >800°C) can cause oxidation and result drift. Solution: Use higher-grade sheath materials or consider periodic calibration. 2, Electromagnetic interference (EMI). Noisy environments can lead to unstable readings. Solution: Apply proper shielding and grounding, or use twisted pair cables. 3, Cold junction compensation errors. Inaccurate reference junction temperature can distort the final reading. Solution: Ensure proper compensation design or use integrated sensors. 4, Mechanical failure under vibration. Frequent vibration can break internal wires over time. Solution: Choose mineral insulated (MI) thermocouples for better durability. In many cases, the issue is not the sensor itself—but how it’s selected and applied.     How Is a Float Ball Made? Float balls may look simple, but they play a critical role in liquid level sensing across industries like water treatment, HVAC, industrial automation, medical equipment, and chemical processing. How is a float ball actually made, and what determines its performance? Here is a straightforward overview. 1️⃣ Material Selection Choosing the right material is the foundation. Depending on the application, float balls are commonly made from: Stainless steel (for high temperature, pressure, and chemical resistance) Plastic / PP / PVDF (for lightweight and corrosion-sensitive environments) Each material directly impacts durability, density, and compatibility with different liquids. 2️⃣ Forming & Shaping The float ball is then formed — typically through metal stamping and welding for stainless steel, or molding for plastic types. Precision is key to ensure proper buoyancy and dimensional stability. 3️⃣ Sealing & Leakage Control A float ball must be perfectly sealed. Any tiny leakage will affect buoyancy and performance.
