Executive Vice President, Operations Paul Johnson and Senior Vice President, Operations Jess Richards hosted global ops leadership and rig managers in Houston last week for Transocean's annual Rig Manager Meeting, where they recapped our 2025 performance, looked ahead to 2026, and announced the rig of the year, Dhirubhai Deepwater KG1. This week, Transocean announced the signing of an agreement to acquire Valaris, creating an industry leader with a diversified offshore fleet of 73 rigs, including 33 ultra-deepwater drillships, 9 semi-submersibles, and 31 modern jackups.
