  • Momentum is increasingly building at the intersection of life sciences 🧬 This is one of the defining themes of last year’s Life Sciences Week, where we saw exciting cross-sector collaborations that strengthen support for life sciences startups to advance innovation. Here are some of the moments that showcased this momentum: 🏥 Innovation in Hospitals: The Glenrose Hospital Foundation announced a new clinical partnership model where startups can work directly with clinicians and patients to accelerate commercialization.    📦 Innovation in Logistics: Edmonton International Airport (YEG) showcased their commercial drone in action, which has the capacity to deliver essential medicines in remote communities. 🪙 Innovation in Finance: MNP and HaloHealth collaborated to offer practical insights on financial strategy, data clarity and building enterprise value from early stages. It was a big night for BetaKit on Thursday 🎊 We celebrated the opening of our Prairies Bureau by welcoming hundreds of people to our launch party at Edmonton Unlimited. The Bureau is supported by a funding partnership with the not-for-profit YEGAF that’s allowing us to expand our Prairies coverage while keeping our editorial independence. We’re excited about what this means for tech journalism in the region. And we think it’s a model that could be replicated across Canada to bring more news coverage to areas that too often get overlooked. If you want to support local journalism in your area, email: partnership@betakit.com. (Photos courtesy of Edmonton Unlimited)
