At this point in time we have selected Office 365 Exchange as our platform of choice, and will soon choose a new hosted email compliance archive provider to augment this strategy. Once completed this messaging strategy will deliver several hundred per cent more capacity while saving in excess of $12M annually, and drive an enterprise approach to hardware and software currency that radically simplifies infrastructure planning, removing client side integration with email clients in favour of server side, "web services" integration.

    - Via repatriating OutSourced Services, and integrating various IT teams reporting into specific business segments or other IT organizations, build a true North American end user computing organization of approximately 900 staff, supporting 100,000 desktops

  • Build Shared X.25 based on Satellite connected POP's

Lead a team of talented network engineers, operating in an entrepreneurial organization, that leveraged POP's in CTC stores connected via satellite to establish a shared X.25 network, based on Motorola PAD's. Along the way we solved

    1. a wide array of protocol issues operating SDLC, X.25, and ISO Poll Select over satellite

    1. a wide array of protocol issues operating SDLC, X.25, and ISO Poll Select over satellite
    2. We deployed over $1M of inventory that was at risk of write down by building a tiered service offering that allowed us to utilize older satellite end points
    3. We created a variety of network management utilities and solutions to manage end to end service level across modems/PAD's/satellite end points

And we eventually integrated a terrestrial X.25 network operated by Motorola (Vanne) and frame relay networking, in partnership with Unitel.

  • Core Infrastructure Services

    -

Drive a focus on oft ignored but critical elements of the Technology Infrastructure

    - Time Services
    - DNS consolidation and remediation
    - Active Directory Consolidation

Keeping organizations focused on these critical items requires both passion and patience, and I helped get projects approved and executed against all these key infrastructure elements
