In 2023, the accounting services industry in Canada saw strong growth, with operating revenue rising 9.7% to $28.2 billion, and accountants are a highly in-demand profession, with at least 3,000 new job openings expected annually. Here's a more detailed look at the Canadian accounting job market: Industry Growth and Revenue: • Strong Growth:
The accounting, tax preparation, bookkeeping, and payroll services industry experienced a significant increase in operating revenue, rising 9.7% to $28.2 billion in 2023. 
 • Revenue Distribution:
Ontario accounted for the largest share of revenue (42.8%), followed by Quebec (20.0%), British Columbia (16.0%), and Alberta (12.4%). 
 • Client Base:
The business sector was the primary client, accounting for 68.0% of all sales in 2022, followed by individuals and households (17.5%) and governments/non-profits (9.1%). 

Job Market Trends and Demand: • In-Demand Profession:
Accounting is a highly in-demand profession in Canada, with a low unemployment rate among skilled finance and accounting professionals.
