tentree is a lifestyle apparel company that plants ten trees for every item purchased
About us
The beautiful landscape we know and love is fast disappearing. At tentree, we believe that we can inspire a new group of consumers to tackle the environmental issues we are now faced with. By planting ten trees and ensuring that all our clothing is produced responsibly we allow each and every customer to make a difference. Our commitment to the environment isn't just a catchy hook to drive sales. It is something we fundamentally believe in, that will have an enormous impact on our environment going forward. It’s your world, your life, your playground. Let’s protect it – together, we can build forests. Tree planting is a way of restoring the environment, maintaining ecosystems, and making our world a healthier place to live. This isn’t new; but what is new, is how we have used the concept of planting trees to inspire entrepreneurship, build sustainable communities, provide shelter and generally increase quality of life. The founders of tentree have years of experience in the tree planting industry and have used this to create a business model that ensures trees are planted sustainably and in a way that will have the greatest impact. Some of the many benefits of planting trees include: - Creating and restoring bio-diversity - Removing greenhouse gases from the atmosphere - Creating bio-precipitation - Building sustainable and resilient natural ecosystems

At tentree, sustainability isn't the finish line — it’s the baseline. We design every product and plant every tree with a long-term goal in mind: to leave the planet better than we found it. Our latest Impact Report highlights how far we've come — and where we still need to go. This past year, we: 🌲 Surpassed 110 million trees planted 🌲 Ensured 99% of our materials came from sustainable fibers 🌲 Conducted our first Materiality Assessment, helping us determine what really matters to both the success of tentree and our stakeholders … and more. Read all about the progress we made against our restorative ambitions in 2024 in our annual Impact Report. https://lnkd.in/eP9xyrnM

We're returning to Dragons' Den this fall! 🌱📺 Over a decade ago, we stepped into CBC’s Dragons’ Den with a simple but powerful business idea: reconnect people with nature through tentree, a apparel brand that plants ten trees for every item sold. That moment sparked a movement, and what a journey it’s been since. Since our first appearance in 2012: -> Over 200 million trees 🌍 -> Grown from a scrappy startup to a team of 100+ passionate changemakers, working day in and day out to elevate and invest in global restoration -> And perhaps most moving of all, our team has welcomed a number of kids into the world. This next chapter isn’t just about us today… it’s about building a better future for them tomorrow 🌱👶 We’ve also launched veritree, our tech platform empowering businesses to invest in verified, data-driven restoration. To the partners, customers, and supporters who’ve been with us on this mission - thank you. You’ve helped turn an idea into a global impact movement. 🚀 Let’s continue to grow and restore! #tentree #veritree #DragonsDen #Sustainability #Reforestation #TechForGood #Leadership #PlanetPositive #LinkedInImpact

Traveling through Vancouver Airport Authority (YVR)? Come checkout our newest store in terminal C and plant some tree's 🌲
Sustainability meets style at YVR. 🌲 We’re proud to officially welcome tentree to our retail lineup as part of our ongoing commitment to bring more local, purpose-driven brands to passengers! Known for its minimal-impact apparel and its pledge to plant 10 trees for every item sold, tentree aligns perfectly with YVR’s broader sustainability goals and our ambition to make travel more environmentally conscious and community-focused. This partnership is a reflection of our evolving commercial strategy: to create a vibrant and diverse retail experience at YVR that reflects the best of British Columbia, supports local businesses, and offers our passengers thoughtful and meaningful choices. . .

Monday reminder 🌲
If you question the why behind protecting biodiversity… If you wonder what’s the point of safeguarding watersheds… If you’re unsure why cleaning the air we breathe even matters… Here’s my advice: 🏔️ Get lost. 🌲 Take a hike. Disconnect from Wi-Fi and reconnect with life. Because nature doesn’t just need us - we need nature. We breathe because trees clean our air. We drink clean water because wetlands filter it. We stay resilient because biodiversity gives ecosystems strength. You don’t have to be an environmentalist to care — just a human who breathes, drinks, and wants a future. So this weekend, leave your screen behind. Go get lost. And when you come back, you’ll understand why we fight so hard to protect this planet. 🌎💚 veritree tentree #NatureIsNonNegotiable #BiodiversityMatters #WatershedProtection #ClimateAction #TakeAHike #Sustainability #GreenFuture #veritree

A great reminder from 🌲David Luba of how scrappy beginnings shaped who we are today 💚
Here is a creative approach we used in the early days of tentree to get orders delivered on time. In a lighthearted manner, my co-founders and I told each of our parents that the other parents were currently helping out at the office, which marked our first effort to create real leverage for the business.🤣 Late nights stretched until 4 a.m. became our norm as we worked to ensure timely dispatch of holiday orders, taking breaks only to sleep in the defective returned clothing. The lesson here: We needed to start focusing on where we could create the most value and outsource almost everything else. We set up a third-party logistics warehouse shortly after this.
