When you have the opportunity to volunteer for an org as incredible as A Loving Spoonful, you can't stop at just one TELUS TDOG event! Our small and mighty group helped chop, dice, mix and make today for this incredible organization that provides free, nutritious meals to those living with HIV in Vancouver. Not only is their mandate to enhance quality of life and health for this community, but their additional services such as emergency meal programs, family pantry and commercial kitchen help to reduce barriers to food security.

Another year, another opportunity to participate in TELUS Days of Giving! Feeling grateful after some recent meaningful volunteer experiences! Last week, I joined local Calgary TELUS team members - including some wonderful friends from our Corporate Citizenship team, Britt Kubicz, CM and Kimberly Bennett - to volunteer with Basically Babies in Calgary. We spent our time sorting, cleaning, and organizing gently used - and super adorable baby items - that will be packaged into beautiful layettes for babies and mums who need a hand up 💕 It was incredibly special to see firsthand the impact this amazing grassroots charity is making in Calgary and Edmonton. The organization has prevously received support through the TELUS Friendly Future Foundation, so having the opportunity to experience their operation up close made the experience even more meaningful. Then last week, after meeting with our Business Customer Experience team about TELUS’ social purpose and the Friendly Future Foundation, they kindly invited me to stay and join their TELUS Days of Giving activity - writing cards for seniors to help bring a smile to their faces. Sometimes the smallest acts of kindness can make the biggest difference and what’s not to love about lending a hand to support babies and seniors?! Yesterday, I was so honoured to volunteer alongside our TELUS Ottawa and Eastern Ontario Community Board at the Ottawa Community Housing Foundation (OCH Foundation) Hop on Bikes event. Together, we fixed up over 100 bikes and then had the incredible privilege of helping local families pick out their new rides! There was something so special about the sense of community created by this event. Sticky popsicle fingers, flashy new helmets and locks, and the massive amount of joy we had the chance to witness will not soon be forgotten! TELUS Days of Giving is one of my favourite times of the year 💜 Over the past few weeks, I've had the chance to be part of some truly special moments. Serving over 360 people at the Vancouver Food Bank, writing cards for seniors, and cleaning up a local park with the Network Planning team. Each experience has been meaningful in its own way. But what I always love most about TDOG is the people. Every event brings together teammates from across the organization, and there's something really energizing about showing up for the community alongside so many kind, passionate humans. 300+ TELUS employees. One full day. A lot of happy puppies. Last week, Puppy Aura brought our Puppy Wellness Lounge to Telus Park in Calgary to celebrate Canadian Mental Health Week Creating space for employees to pause, recharge, and engage in a positive shared experience made the activation a meaningful part of the day. Research shows spending time with animals can help reduce stress, improve mood, and support overall wellbeing. The impact in the room was obvious within minutes. The experience also helps puppies build confidence and socialization through safe, positive interactions in new environments. Good for employees. Good for puppies.
