  • PCMA's Convene survey found that 90% of associations sell sponsorships at their largest event. Only one-third include year-round activities in those sponsorship packages. That gap is where most sponsor retention loss happens. The conventional response to sponsor churn is to add more deliverables to the package: bigger logos, more session breaks, dedicated landing pages. None of it moves the needle much. What actually drives renewal sits outside the event itself: 1. Post-event data sponsors can use in their internal renewal conversation 2. Direct interaction with the right people, not just booth traffic 3. Year-round relationships, not just renewal calls If your sponsor retention rate isn't where you want it, the fix probably isn't on the event side. 👇 Read the full breakdown in the comments. #EventMarketing #Sponsorship

Half my conversations with event teams this year have included a version of this question: "Our registration completion rate is 95%, why is our attendance still terrible?" Our team just pulled data from 860+ events to test what's actually going on. Here's the number that stopped me: at events where over 90% of registrants completed the signup process, the no-show rate was 29%. Almost 1 in 3 people who finished signing up didn't show up on the day. When we filtered to paid events only, that number dropped to 19%. Closer to 1 in 5. The variable that changed everything wasn't the registration UX. It was whether attendees had paid. Across the board, completion rate is essentially uncorrelated with attendance. Payment is the actual signal. This doesn't mean every event should charge admission. It means that if your goal is attendance and your event is free, the registration form isn't the lever to pull. The work happens after registration, not during it: reminders, calendar invites, content previews, sunk-cost framing. The things that make a free attendee feel committed without paying. • In government and education event tech RFPs, the hardest part isn't the demo. It's everything that has to happen in writing weeks before. By the time the demo happens, most vendors have already been filtered out. Today on the blog: the five categories that do the filtering. The things that consistently show up in event tech RFPs from government, federal, and education buyers: 1️⃣ Security and data protection (what's actually behind a SOC 2 cert) 2️⃣ Accessibility compliance (WCAG, AODA, Section 508) 3️⃣ Bilingual capability (more than translated forms) 4️⃣ Total cost transparency (no hidden fees in the response) 5️⃣ Data ownership and portability (what happens at contract end) Built for both buyers writing an RFP and vendors responding to one. • 50 exhibitors. 2,435 leads captured. One powerful way to turn trade show leads into action. ✨ That’s the success story at Canadian Special Events Live EventFest 2026. PheedLoop is honoured to power Lead Retrieval (and so much more) at the event for the seventh consecutive year, helping exhibitors capture, organize, and follow up with leads faster and more efficiently. From instant lead capture to post-event analytics and streamlined lead management, exhibitors were able to focus less on admin work and more on building meaningful connections on the show floor. A huge thank you to J. Zachary Diamond, CAS, Bill Coplen, Sean Sinclair, and Pierre M. for sharing their experience with us in this video, and to the CSE Live team for another successful event. 👇 Read more about how everything came together in the article linked in the comments. #SuccessStory #PheedLoop

Earlier this year we lost an association deal over AMS integration depth. They needed something we couldn't ship on their timeline. We told them so. They went with a vendor who said yes. That's the right outcome from our side as we don't want to ship integrations we can't properly support. But the broader pattern across event tech is what worries me: "yes, we integrate with [your AMS]" without detailed specifics often means a Zapier connection that breaks every time the AMS pushes an update, a CSV export, or a custom dev project the buyer didn't know they'd be paying for. The deal gets signed. Implementation begins. Three months in, the buyer discovers the gap. I've watched enough deals fall apart at the integration boundary to publish the questions that would have caught it in the initial evaluation. Today we're posting a 12-question checklist for evaluating any vendor's AMS integration claims. Four categories: 1️⃣ Integration depth and ownership 2️⃣ Data sync mechanics 3️⃣ Member-specific functionality 4️⃣ Financial reconciliation Each question in the checklist includes examples of what strong and weak answers sound like, so you can score vendors as you go. These questions apply to us too. If we don't pass them, we're not the right vendor for your association. The checklist is structured so you can compare us against everyone else honestly. Downloadable checklist available at the link in the comments. #AssociationManagement #EventTech

Last quarter a deal stalled because the prospect couldn't compare our pricing to a competitor's. Not because their pricing was better. Because their pricing model was structured to make comparison impossible. That's not unusual in event tech. Most vendors don't publish pricing. The pricing models themselves are deliberately incomparable. Per user vs per registration vs per event vs flat enterprise license. Same event, three different platforms, three quotes that look nothing alike, and no way to translate between them. Today we published the honest version of our own pricing. Every PheedLoop number. The starting per-user rate ($1.75). The multi-year discount structure (10% for two years, 20% for three). The line items that usually get hidden until after a demo. The Free Event Tier that runs unlimited events under 100 attendees at zero cost. We also built a free comparison tool that converts any vendor's quote into a three-year all-in number across all five pricing models in the category. It's not a sales asset. It's a buyer's spreadsheet. The math works against us as often as it works for us. This kind of transparency costs us deals sometimes. Buyers who would have been swayed by an opaque "let's discuss" pricing conversation see the structure laid bare and move on. I'm fine with that tradeoff. The buyers who choose us after seeing the actual math tend to be the ones who stick around. Link in the comments.
