#MoonJoy was in full effect during the Artemis II crew’s visit to Canada this week. 🌕🇨🇦 What stood out most wasn’t just the mission, but the humanity and camaraderie behind it. Big, ambitious goals are achieved through teamwork, humility, and taking care of one another every step of the way. A powerful reminder that Canada’s role in space will grow not only through technology and innovation, but through Canadians coming together, collaborating, and working as one crew. A big thank you to Space Canada | Espace Canada, the Canadian Space Agency | Agence spatiale canadienne, MDA Space and Mission Control for hosting such an inspiring event last evening with some of this generation’s greatest heroes.

🇨🇦 Sovereign launch is about far more than rockets. Spaceports are critical national infrastructure that support security, resilience, innovation, and economic growth. VP of Spaceport Operations, Melissa Quinn, presented at the Canadian Space Launch Conference today. Her message was clear: Canada must build sovereign access to space. That means understanding the challenges ahead, addressing both internal and external pressures, and building the infrastructure needed to support a prosperous and secure future. Canada’s future in space depends on the infrastructure we build today.

With the introduction of the Transport Canada - Transports Canada's Canadian Space Launch Act (Bill C-28), Canada can modernize our regulations to allow for orbital launch. Its passage unlocks Spaceport Nova Scotia as our country's gateway to orbit. We’re building Spaceport Nova Scotia so Canada's space sector can launch from home rather than rely on others. Right now, we’re sending both dollars and talent outside the country. This legislation goes beyond infrastructure. It’s about sovereignty, security, and keeping talent here.
