The Canadian Centre for Nonprofit Digital Resilience (CCNDR) is a national collaborative helping Canada's diverse nonprofits and grassroots organizations use data and technology with confidence, security, and purpose. Stewarded by Imagine Canada, CCNDR strengthens the sector's digital capacity through practical programs, shared learning, and collaborative infrastructure. Our work is organized around three focus areas: Data Management & Literacy, Cybersecurity Readiness, and Emerging Technology (AI). We operate as a network of networks, extending trusted support across regions and communities nationwide. 📣 Big news for Canada's nonprofit sector Today RBC and RBC Foundation unveiled the RBC Stronger Nonprofits Program, a three-year, $8M+ commitment to help strengthen the capacity and resilience of charitable and nonprofit organizations across Canada. 🤝 Canadian Centre for Nonprofit Digital Resilience | Centre canadien pour la résilience numérique is proud to be part of this work through Next Together, our national initiative with Imagine Canada. Within Next Together, CCNDR contributes the digital capacity component, focused on cybersecurity and data management, alongside national and regional leadership conversations and strategic foresight. Canada's nonprofits are capable and ready, what's needed is sustained investment in the infrastructure that holds the sector together. Au sein de Vers la suite, le CCRNO apporte le volet de la capacité numérique, axé sur la cybersécurité et la gestion des données, parallèlement à des discussions de leadership nationales et régionales, à de la prospective stratégique et à la modernisation des normes. Les OBNL du Canada sont capables et prêts. Ce qu’il faut, c’est un investissement soutenu dans l’infrastructure qui soutient le secteur. Cybersecurity capacity should not depend on having a dedicated IT team Open North has launched CyberAIDE a free, cohort-based cybersecurity program built specifically for nonprofits and small to mid-sized municipalities. Over two years, participants receive practical training, toolkits, webinars, and Canadian case studies covering foundational security, data protection, threat awareness, incident response, privacy compliance, and vendor management. All content is in plain language. No prior expertise required. Building cybersecurity readiness is not about becoming a tech organization. It is about protecting the trust people place in you. There is a new national standard for nonprofits to evaluate their digital capabilities, and a free program to help you use it. The Digital Governance Standards Institute | Institut des normes de gouvernance numérique Institute has released DGSI 135, a structured way for nonprofits to assess where they stand across: digital tools, data practices, cybersecurity, communication systems, AI readiness, and digital leadership. The Digital Governance Council | Conseil de gouvernance numérique Council is offering free participation in their Nonprofit Digital Capability Verification Program, an independent review and access to subject-matter experts. A $250 value with limited spots. This is exactly what the Assess stage of CCNDR’s 4As Framework points to. The National Nonprofit AI Skilling CoLab curriculum was built by the sector, for the sector. 🤝 In collaboration with our delivery partner Coalition of Innovation Leaders Advancing Respect (CILAR) and alongside community partners from across the country 🍁 , we have spent the past months developing practical, sector-specific AI learning content grounded in how nonprofits actually work. We are now entering the validation stage, the final step to confirm that what we built together is ready for the sector. ✅ Once validated, the curriculum will be released publicly. Anyone who completes the module will receive a credential they can carry forward. 🏅 This is what it looks like when the sector builds for itself.
