Last Saturday, Alectra employees hit the court in St. Catharines to participate in Sport Niagara’s charity Dodge Ball tournament! Sport Niagara, a not-for-profit organization, is dedicated to advancing high-performance and community sport while supporting the legacy of the Niagara 2022 Canada Games. Half the proceeds from this event were donated to local charities, making it a fun and meaningful way to give back to the community. We’re proud to support initiatives like this that bring people together, promote active lifestyles, and make a positive impact in our communities. A huge thank-you to Sport Niagara for hosting such an incredible event and to our amazing Alectra team for showing up, giving it their all, and embodying the spirit of AlectraCARES. #AlectraCARES

Members of the Ontario Energy Network (OEN) encourage post-secondary students to explore the many exciting career opportunities in the Ontario energy sector! OEN is a not-for-profit organization which provides networking opportunities in support of the energy industry in Ontario, as well as supporting charities important to the sector and an industry-focused scholarship program. In order to continue to thrive, our vital industry needs to recruit talented young people and a diverse workforce. To support and encourage students considering careers in energy, the OEN and our partners offer the following five scholarships: - OEN Sustainable Development Scholarship- sponsored by Alectra - OEN Indigenous Energy Scholarship – sponsored by the IESO - OEN Women in Energy Scholarship – sponsored by the OEB - OEN-Bruce Power Nuclear Studies Scholarship - OEN-Bruce Power Dr. Ron Oberth “Advanced Energy Studies” Scholarship Preference will be given to applicants pursuing post secondary education targeting a career in the energy sector, as well as individuals with a connection to an OEN member company, such as student employment. Alectra crews were glad to lend a hand through the Ontario Mutual Assistance Group following this weekend’s storms. A big thank you to all the frontline workers restoring power and supporting communities across the province — and to the preschool class for the thoughtful message to crews.
⛈️⚡ Over the weekend, Ontario Mutual Assistance Group members were hard at work restoring power after not one, but TWO storms swept across Ontario. 🙌 A huge thank you to Alectra Inc. , ERTH Power Corporation, Bluewater Power Distribution Corporation, Essex Powerlines Corporation, Festival Hydro, ENWIN Utilities, and Tillsonburg Hydro for lending a helping hand!
