Job Description: MAC Prefab is seeking an experienced Cold-Formed Steel Designer to join our team in Phoenix. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced BIM environment and has hands-on experience designing wall panels and truss systems for prefabricated construction projects. We are looking for a motivated team member who understands constructability, coordination, and production-focused design.

Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed cold-formed steel wall panel and truss designs
• Produce shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and coordinated BIM models
• Coordinate with internal engineering, production, and project management teams
• Review architectural and structural plans for design integration
• Assist with clash detection and model coordination in BIM workflows
• Support prefab manufacturing and field installation efforts through accurate modeling and detailing
• Maintain drawing standards, revisions, and project documentation

Qualifications:

• Experience with light gauge steel truss systems
• Understanding of panelized construction
• Experience with prefab/manufacturing environment
• Coordination with GC and design teams

Preferred experience with the following:

• MWF StrucSoft
• FRAMECAD
• MiTek
• Revit Structure
