Animation Pitch Bootcamp

Overview:

BRIC’s Summer 2026 Animation Pitch Bootcamp is a free, 3-week intensive virtual program that invites high school students to collaborate, create, and pitch an original animated TV series concept. This bootcamp course is designed to give students from all backgrounds and experience levels the hands-on exposure and experience that can lead to a career in entertainment.

Guided by industry professionals, students will:

  • Simulate a studio environment by working in teams

  • Learn the fundamentals of entrepreneurship

  • Craft a unique story and develop a professional pitch packet to be presented to development executives

  • Receive instruction and mentorship from creative professionals in storytelling, character design, visual development, and more!

After completing the bootcamp, students will also receive one free submission to earn a BRIC Digital Badge, which can be added to their resumes and professional profiles.

Prerequisites:

Basic storytelling and art experience

Format:

Virtual with 6 hours of live lectures per week, plus office hours and independent work (Pacific Time Zone)

This course allows students to build awareness of industry career opportunities; identify interests, skills, and career possibilities through guided self-assessments and research; and explore opportunities for job shadows and workplace simulations.
