🌟 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗦 𝗶𝘀 𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗲'𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗶𝘁! Work is well underway on the STARS project (Shaping Talents and Achieving Vocational Excellence in Sports), and the consortium is making meaningful strides. WP3 is in full swing as we build toward a holistic Sports Center of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) model that empowers athletes through dual careers, advances sport education across Europe, and contributes to the legacy of major sporting events. Most recently, we had the opportunity to represent STARS at Civil Society Week, connecting with stakeholders and advocates who share our commitment to inclusion, skills development, and innovation in sports education. 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀: 𝗘𝗩𝗕𝗕 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝗨𝗩𝗘𝗖𝗔 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 Yesterday, the European Association of Institutes for Vocational Training (EVBB) team joined the EUVECA project Final European Conference in Brussels, exploring how Vocational Education and Training (VET) can strengthen sustainability in the European healthcare sector. 🌍📚 We were inspired by great contributions from speakers such as Henriette Hansen, Federica Margheri, Marloes Postel, Michele Calabro' and many others, who highlighted emerging skills needs, innovative teaching approaches and the growing importance of stronger collaboration between regional and European health actors. Key insights from the conference: • 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮 to support innovation and better patient care  • 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝘂𝗽𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 for healthcare professionals  • 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗱𝘀, including VR and real-life simulations  • 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 between VET providers and healthcare organisations Strong partnerships between VET providers, healthcare organisations and initiatives such as the #Edu4Healt Platform are essential to drive meaningful change in the health sector and to build a future-ready healthcare workforce across Europe. 🤝✨ #EVBB #EUVECA #VET #HealthcareSkills #EUProjects #LifelongLearning #SkillsDevelopment

On 16 March, the EVBB team, Sotiria Tsalamani, Alex LENOIR, Ana V Blanco visited the premises of UNESCO-UNEVOC in Bonn, Germany for a valuable exchange on Vocational Education and Training (VET). We had the opportunity to discuss key VET #priorities, this year’s thematic areas, and explore potential opportunities for #collaboration. These discussions are key to strengthening #cooperation and ensuring alignment between European and global VET efforts. At the same time, we shared perspectives and experiences from EVBB #members, bringing forward insights that can help shape future activities and initiatives. EASPD, together with 68 European networks and 288 national organisations from 32 countries, call for a strong social EU budget. We urge EU institutions to safeguard and strengthen the European Social Fund (ESF) and European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) as standalone, well-funded programmes in the next Multiannual Financial Framework (2028–2034). As negotiations move forward, our message is clear:  👉 Build on what works  👉 Protect funding for social inclusion  👉 Ensure support reaches those most excluded ESF and ERDF are essential to support employment, education and inclusion across Europe- including for persons with disabilities. We believe strong, dedicated social funding is key to delivering real impact on the ground.
