📢 From Rhetoric to Reality: European #VET at a Crossroads EfVET President Professor Joachim James Calleja was a keynote speaker at the international conference “Fewer Borders, More Talent”, held in La Orotava, Tenerife, on 21–22 May 2026. Organised by #SIFPRE, the Gobierno de Canarias and co-financed by the European Union, the conference brought together over 200 #educators to discuss #internationalisation, #talent and the #FutureOfVET. 🔗 Read the full article: https://lnkd.in/eH5evQPc 🎙️ In his keynote speech, “Prospects of a new EU VET Strategy: Rhetoric versus Reality”, Professor Calleja reflected on the trajectory of the #CopenhagenProcess and the need to move from recommendations and declarations towards real implementation. His message was clear: Europe has made important progress in #VET, including through tools such as the #EQF and #Europass, but many Member States still need stronger support, more funding, less bureaucracy and policies focused on impact. 🔊 As he stated: “It is time to move from rhetoric to implementation. 🌍🌟 First Learning, Teaching and Training Activity (LTTA) of WINGS project From 12–14 May 2026, WINGS partners gathered in Murcia, Spain, for the project’s first Learning, Teaching and Training Activity, hosted by Red Internacional B-Live. 🔗 Read more: https://lnkd.in/ewpfWMfC The activity focused on analysing Work-Based Learning (#WBL) practices collected across the partnership countries and beyond, while identifying the challenges faced by #VETproviders and companies in implementing effective WBL activities. 🔊 Partners discussed key questions around learning objectives, tutoring and mentoring, inclusion and accessibility, assessment and validation of competences, and the role of micro-credentials in strengthening WBL pathways. 🎙️ The meeting also included an inspiring contribution from Fundación FADE, which presented its Talante Solidario model supporting volunteers across Spain in developing skills for social work. 🎯 Through its #WBLmodel, Guideline and future training course for #VET teachers and in-company tutors, WINGS is helping to build stronger bridges between learning and work - with impact across the whole WBL ecosystem. 📢 A first chance for #VET students: apply for a #traineeship at the European Parliament!   For the first time, #Schuman traineeship positions at the European Parliament are open to students with a #VETdiploma. This is a unique opportunity to experience European politics from the inside and contribute to the daily work of one of the EU’s key institutions. Apply to get to work in areas such as #security and #logistics to #IT, #communications, #administration, #audiovisual support and human resources and get the chance to contribute to keeping the Parliament's work running smoothly every day.   ✅ Who can apply?
