The understanding of risk, and most importantly the roles and responsibilities of risk, were not clear when I joined the organisation. As risk exists in all areas of the organisation it was important to be able to connect with people at all levels and parts of the organisation, and this had to be done in a fun and engaging way. I had the concept of using football, the beauitful game, in previous roles and Worldline (previously Ingnenico) gave the freedom to bring my vision to life. The awareness campaign focused on the tag line of #whatsyourline and was supported by a animated video and infographic canvasses which were hung across all floors. We also introduced footballs with #whatsyouline that people could kick-around in colab spaces while brainstorming. Show less

In August 2023, I was entrusted by the leadership team to step into the role of interim lead for the Analytics & Business Intelligence (ABI) team, tasked with the business critical objectove to accelerate the implementation of a strategic lakehouse leveraging Azure Databricks. The starting point was fraught with challenges—fragmented data and systems, poor data quality, delayed and incomplete data delivery, and a looming, non-negotiable deadline tied to the decommissioning of a legacy Data Warehouse. Without this transformation, the business's operational continuity was at risk.

Despite these challenges, the project successfully achieved its primary objective of delivering a unified, single source of truth for business reporting. This transformation enabled the production of all business critical management reports with a dramatically reduced latency of just 1 day, reduced significantly from 14+ days, empowering timely and data-driven decision-making across the organisation.
