Throughout January, communities across Victoria faced the impact of significant bushfires; our teams worked alongside The Salvation Army Australia to provide support where it was needed most. Working together we were able to assist the Salvos in serving more than 3,100 meals to residents and first responders in evacuation centres and staging areas. To help provide some essential comfort for those displaced, our BIG W team also coordinated the delivery of 500 air mattresses to relief centres. While the immediate emergency has passed, the recovery for these communities continues. We are grateful for the dedication of the Salvos and the volunteers who were on the ground during the height of the fires, and we remain committed to supporting our partners in their ongoing work. #TeamWoolies #TheSalvationArmy #Salvos #Victoria #VIC

As one of Australia’s largest electricity users, we recognise that how we source our energy matters. We’ve now reached our goal of powering all of our Australian operations, including our stores and distribution centres, with 100% renewable electricity. We know that our choices have real impact for our communities, for the environment, and for the future of the places we all live and work in. It has required long-term partnerships with wind farms in NSW and solar projects in SA, alongside several years of work by our teams to help support the development of new energy infrastructure. While this is an important step in our journey toward net zero, we know it's only one part of the work ahead. We’re grateful to our partners and teams across the business who have helped us reach this stage as we continue to look for ways to reduce our environmental footprint. https://lnkd.in/gVKjQJNm #TeamWoolies #Sustainability #RenewableEnergy #NetZero #RetailInnovation

For a long time, the digital and data teams at what was once WooliesX have been a key part of how we’re evolving the shopping experience at Woolworths Group. Today, we’re merging the WooliesX and Woolworths Group LinkedIn pages to better reflect how we work in reality: as one connected team. By moving to a single page, we can better share the collective expertise of our 32,000+ digital and data team members alongside the rest of the Group. So to our current and former WooliesX team members - we’d love for you to join us on this journey by updating your profile to ‘Woolworths Group’. You don't need to end your current role; simply editing the company name will preserve your employment history while keeping us all connected under one banner. We’re looking forward to sharing more about our work together from this page. Thanks for being part of the journey. 💙 #WoolworthsGroup #WooliesX #TeamWoolies

As one of Australia and New Zealand’s largest employers, and with relationships that extend far beyond our direct team members, we're conscious of the welfare and workplace conditions of workers in our supply chain. Every product we sell is connected to a person, making protecting human rights in our supply chain non‐negotiable. It's why we’re incredibly proud to be ranked #1 in KnowTheChain’s 2026 Food and Beverage Benchmark. It’s the second time in a row we’ve ranked #1 in this global benchmark, which looks at how the world’s largest food and beverage companies are tackling forced labour risks. While the ranking is meaningful recognition of our progress, we know there is still much more to do. Forced labour and worker exploitation is a global challenge that we can only solve if we work together. We're committed to keeping that momentum going and continuing to learn as we go. https://lnkd.in/gwmgS7yc #TeamWoolies #Sustainability #Bizhumanrights

We are proud to join forces with Sea Forest, DIT AgTech, and Teys Australia in a groundbreaking commercial trial that puts Australian science to work. Using SeaFeed™ technology in grass-fed cattle, we are targeting a vital win-win: lowering methane emissions while aiming to unlock real productivity gains, like improved feed efficiency and weight gain. For us, this is about working towards a more sustainable future that is also a commercially viable one for our farming partners. For over three decades, David has been raising cattle at West Talgai in Southern Queensland. In that time, we’ve grown together, built on a shared focus on quality and a mutual commitment to doing right by the land and the community. For us at Woolworths Group, David isn’t just a supplier; he’s a partner who helps us set the standard for Australian agriculture. This dedication starts in the paddock with proper nutrition and continues all the way to our store shelves. When we support farmers like David to thrive, it’s our customers and our communities who benefit. It’s these long-term relationships that allow us to innovate and deliver on our purpose of creating a better tomorrow. https://lnkd.in/eNWDsRhu

Recently our CustomerX Brand Team traded their laptops for aprons and joined the team at OzHarvest for their ‘Cooking for a Cause’ program. It was an eye-opening experience to learn about the scale of food waste in Australia and see first-hand how rescued ingredients can be transformed into delicious, restaurant-quality meals. Working under the guidance of OzHarvest chefs, the team spent their time together turning rescued ingredients, that would have otherwise gone to waste, into nutritious high-quality meals for people in our community who need them most. A huge thank you to the OzHarvest and the chefs for their patience and for teaching us that sustainability starts in the kitchen. Working together, the team were able to create 200 meals, divert 100kg of food from landfill and leave with a much stronger connection working towards a common goal.
