TIMBER INNOVATION ELEVATING 450 QUEEN STREET | Works at 450 Queen Street continue to progress, with all concrete slab pouring now complete and the integration of mass timber elements as part of this landmark adaptive reuse project. Retaining and extending the existing concrete core, columns and slabs, the project demonstrates how thoughtful engineering can significantly reduce embodied carbon while supporting a high‑performance commercial outcome in Brisbane’s CBD. A key feature of the development is the use of Glulam and Cross‑Laminated Timber (CLT). Glulam is engineered by bonding layers of timber for strength and precision, providing robust structural beams and columns capable of spanning large distances while maintaining a warm, natural aesthetic. CLT panels, made by layering timber boards in alternating directions, deliver exceptional structural rigidity, dimensional stability and fire performance, making them well suited to multi‑storey construction. Together, these mass timber systems reduce reliance on carbon‑intensive materials, accelerate construction through prefabrication, and contribute to a healthier indoor environment for future occupants. Their application at 450 Queen Street sets a strong benchmark for sustainable, adaptive commercial development in Australia. On completion, the revitalised 24‑storey building will deliver more than 17,000sqm of premium, all‑electric, carbon‑neutral office space, demonstrating how existing assets can be reimagined through innovation, sustainability and considered design. RINNAI AUSTRALIA HQ, BRAESIDE VICTORIA | Buildcorp has proudly delivered the major refurbishment of Rinnai Australia’s HQ in Braeside, repositioning the 1990s facility into a contemporary, functional, sustainable, and people-focused workplace that reflects the future of work and the strength of the Rinnai brand. Delivered in stages and alongside live manufacturing operations, the project involved a complex refurbishment and fit‑out across office and manufacturing support spaces, extensive structural works, and a full façade and roof replacement. Project highlights included high‑risk precast panel removal, significant underpinning and strengthening works, and the creation of a new entry featuring a lift, stair and 6.5‑metre glazed Mondrian wall. Internally, the team delivered modern workplaces, upgraded amenities, a cafeteria, gym, physio and first aid facilities – all designed to support Rinnai’s workforce and connect the office and manufacturing teams. Careful planning and close coordination ensured operational continuity throughout construction, including maintaining critical services and live communications infrastructure. 👉 Click here to read all about the project on our website, including the technical elements and solutions behind this transformation: https://lnkd.in/gmGYrdd3 Congratulations to the team and our partners who worked on this project: Rinnai Australia, PTID, JXC Group, Caleb Engineers, FMG Engineering Photography: Kane Jarrod THOMPSON #Buildcorp #BuildcorpVIC #Refurbishment #Commercial

REVESBY RISE OFFICIALLY UNDERWAY | Buildcorp recently joined Gateway Capital and project partners on site to mark the sod turn for Revesby Rise, setting the project in motion and establishing a strong foundation for delivery. Located in the heart of Sydney’s southwest industrial and logistics precinct, Revesby Rise will transform an ageing industrial asset into a state‑of‑the‑art, multi‑level logistics hub. The development will deliver Sydney’s largest multi-level warehouse, replacing outdated facilities with flexible, future‑ready warehouse space capable of supporting a wide range of operational requirements. With over 54,000sqm of warehouse and office space, the project is designed to respond to growing demand for modern logistics infrastructure close to key transport networks. Over the past year, Buildcorp has worked closely with Gateway Capital, consultants, authorities and incoming anchor tenant Refresco through an early contractor involvement phase. This collaborative approach enabled the team to test buildability, navigate complex site constraints, refine scope, mitigate risk and achieve cost certainty, setting the project up for success. With works now underway, we look forward to delivering a high‑performing, resilient logistics precinct that supports businesses to operate, grow and thrive. REACHING NEW HEIGHTS TOGETHER | MEADOWBANK TOPS OUT Buildcorp and Apt.Residential recently marked the topping out of Apt.Meadowbank and Meadowbank Corner, a significant milestone as the teams progress into the final stages of construction ahead of completion later this year. The achievement reflects the strength of the Buildcorp–Apt.Residential partnership, built on early alignment through the ECI phase, a coordinated pre-construction program, and a shared commitment to delivering a well-planned, high quality mixed-use development. With the structure now complete, the project shifts its focus to fitout, services and façade works as both teams continue to work closely to maintain program, quality and stakeholder coordination through the final stages of delivery. Thank you to the combined project team, design partners and subcontractors who have helped bring this project to life. We look forward to delivering Meadowbank as the project moves toward opening, and to seeing the precinct evolve into a vibrant new community hub that brings homes, retail, jobs and activity to the local area. CORRS CHAMBERS WESTGARTH, 120 COLLINS STREET MELBOURNE | We’re proud to share the completion of Corrs Chambers Westgarth’s new Melbourne workplace. A project that showcases our team’s meticulous delivery, exceptional attention to detail and shared passion for achieving the level of quality Corrs envisioned for their new home. Spanning eight levels, this premium fit-out was delivered through a tightly managed program that put craftsmanship, prototyping and technical excellence at the forefront. From the handcrafted curved stair on the client floors to high‑performance acoustic rooms and premium finishes throughout, every detail was carefully resolved before it reached site. THE TRANSFORMATION OF COLLINS ARCADE | Buildcorp is thrilled to have partnered alongside Kaipara Property Group and the consultant team on the revitalisation of Collins Arcade. The repositioning of the high-profile four-level arcade, connecting Collins and Little Collins Streets, forms part of a revitalised precinct enhancing connectivity and customer experience. This has been achieved by rejuvenating the shopping centre and introducing new facilities – spanning retail, dining, entertainment, co-working – aimed to increase foot traffic and attract tenants with a broader market appeal. Key works included the removal and reconfiguration of existing stair and escalator elements, major structural modifications, extensive demolition and services upgrades, and new base-build finishes to support the refreshed retail, hospitality and co-working offer. Our team carefully designed a live environment methodology to minimise disruption to the three remaining active retailers and the neighbouring Novotel, while also ensuring the public-facing aspects of the site were safe with high-foot traffic through the connection. The Buildcorp Victoria team is proud to have been part of the transformation of Collins Arcade into a more inviting, accessible and intuitive destination – one that has a positive impact on the community by better connecting people to place in the heart of the Melbourne CBD. DELTABEAM® HELPING STREAMLINE CONSTRUCTION AT CARSELDINE VILLAGE IN QUEENSLAND Buildcorp is pleased to be incorporating Peikko’s DELTABEAM® system as part of the structural solution at the Carseldine Village project in Brisbane’s north. Following an initial on‑site mock‑up to test beam‑to‑precast connection details and other key interfaces, construction of the main building is now well progressed, with DELTABEAM® units delivered and installed. In total, the project will utilise more than three kilometres of the prefabricated system, supporting efficient floor construction and improved structural integration. With a shallow structural zone and composite steel–concrete configuration, the system minimises floor depth and increases spatial efficiency. Its prefabricated beams accelerate installation and reduce on‑site disruption, while delivering precise, efficient connections with precast elements. In addition to the DELTABEAM® system, Peikko is supplying the bolted column connections and hidden corbels used throughout the precast structure. Our teams have collaborated closely with Peikko through the design and implementation phases to maximise the efficiencies of this market-leading innovation. We’re excited to be the first residential project in Australia to be executing this advanced structural solution on our projects. NAME THE CRANES: COMMUNITY CREATIVITY AT CARSELDINE VILLAGE Over the past few weeks, the C&K Kindergarten kids have been busy colouring in their crane name ideas as part of our Name the Crane competition. After lots of colourful entries and some tough judging, two winning names rose to the top: Hefty and Horizon. To mark the occasion, we welcomed the kindergarten group to site for a small unveiling, with a designated safe viewing area where they could see the cranes up close, meet members of the Buildcorp team, and watch the new crane flags raised. This initiative is one of the many ways we’re connecting with our local community throughout the construction phase and bringing a sense of personality and place to the Carseldine Village project. Thank you to the C&K team and our young contributors for helping give Hefty and Horizon their new identities, which are now officially part of the Carseldine skyline.
