Australia is edging closer and closer to introducing its first regulation for the digital assets industry, with the draft legislation now sitting with the Senate. Using the AFSL framework as the core platform to regulate the industry is a positive step in the right direction as it’s a trusted, well understand and common form of regulation for the broader financial services sector. Despite this, the Federal Government can further promote the growth of the stablecoin industry, by progressing bespoke licencing framework, similar to other jurisdictiona like the United States. AUDD - Australian Digital Dollar will continue to work with regulators on this in the months ahead, as the stablecoin industry increases its role as an integral part of banking, payments and the future global economy. AUDDapt is AUDC’s ecosystem initiative designed to accelerate real-world adoption of AUDD - Australian Digital Dollar stablecoin. We’re backing builders developing production-ready use cases across: • Payments • Settlement • Treasury • Programmable money Grants range from $10,000 to $50,000, with all funding paid in AUDD. As part of the program, we also introduced a dedicated XRPL Joint Track. Applicants selecting XRPL as their primary blockchain may be considered separately for XRPL ecosystem grants and accelerator support through XRPL’s own process.
