With agents in Jira, AI teammates work alongside the rest of the team—bringing structure, context, and momentum to your workflows instead of adding to the noise. As Tamar Yehoshua told TechCrunch, that’s what Atlassian does best: make teamwork more effective, not more chaotic.

For more than two decades, Jira has been the place where millions of teams plan and track their work. Now AI agents are joining them, working side-by-side with human teammates to get things done at unprecedented speed and quality. Today we have launched the open beta of agents in Jira so that teams can iterate, agents can execute and Jira can track it all. 🚀 Anyone who works in an enterprise knows that "orchestrating" agents is way more than simply handing work over to them. It’s about constant iteration until you get the right outcome, and leaving a trail behind to make sure other teams can pick up from where you left off. With both people and agents on the team, we want to make Jira the place you coordinate 10x the work, without 10x the chaos.
