Big ideas can start in the smallest places. Exactly 60 years to the day – in a 12x12 foot basement – three individuals with the belief that design should serve people and communities founded what would become DLR Group. That modest start was critical to establishing our values as a global, integrated design firm. Six decades later, one thing has remained constant: our commitment to people. Thank you to our clients, partners, and friends who continue to make our story one worth building together. Learn more about our history here: https://lnkd.in/gppVijZQ

The Frontier Culture Museum in Staunton, Virginia, is expanding. The new addition supports storytelling around voluntary and forced migration to colonial America – and the lives people built for themselves and their descendants alongside Native American communities: https://lnkd.in/gPb62K5V The 41,000-SF expansion improves wayfinding and all-weather accessibility while adding a permanent gallery, flexible education space, and a year-round pavilion – helping the museum serve broader audiences, expand programming, and create a more connected visitor experience for the future.

Foodservice Equipment & Supplies magazine recognized Swarthmore College's Dining and Community Commons as its 2026 Facility Design Project of the Year. The award honors innovative, student focused, and energy efficient foodservice design. Our design achieves the College’s vision through a bold architectural statement centered around mass timber. Everything from the architecture to the materials to the food served, this warm, biophilic environment promotes student well-being while advancing the College’s goal of carbon neutrality by 2035. A huge milestone at West‑MEC Southeast Campus! 🎉 Last week, I was honored to watch as crews placed a 128,000‑lb canopy using Arizona’s largest hydraulic crane (750‑ton capacity!). The canopy’s HSS20x16 triangular frame was lifted into place and set on four clusters of 16” inverted tripod columns, a major step forward for this cutting‑edge CTE campus. Amazing design by Thomas Kramer, PE, SE, Diana Gonzalez, PE, Matthew Brehmer, AIA, NCARB, Katrina Leach and Taylor Pomahatch. See how this project is shaping the future of hands‑on learning: https://lnkd.in/gBXvKADT 📸 Southwest Industrial Rigging DLR Group | West-MEC | CHASSE Building Team

Senate Park has long served as both a Capitol Hill landmark and a vital resource for the people who keep the grounds running. Framed by sweeping north-side views and long sightlines to the Capitol dome, this historic landscape required thoughtful renewal. By balancing preservation and modernity, we restored key neoclassical features while improving safety, efficiency, and day-to-day operations through upgraded infrastructure, modernized staff spaces, and stronger connections between the garage and Capitol workplaces. Take a closer look at how Senate Park was renewed for the future: https://lnkd.in/ge6492GS
