From orientation and massing to shading systems and controlled daylight, the project integrates passive design strategies from the earliest stages to reduce energy demand while enhancing comfort and spatial quality. As the National Retrofit Conference 2026 programme goes live - and with the Warm Homes Plan beginning to roll out - the focus on large-scale retrofit is only intensifying. The conference forms part of a wider set of events taking place at Futurebuild 2026, co-located with UK Construction Week at Excel London, bringing together policy, practice and delivery across the built environment.
