This template facilitates compliance with the intended bidirectional nature of Wikipedia:Navigation templates by identifying violations of the following rules:
- Every article listed on a particular navigation template generally has the template placed on its page. WP:NAV-WITHIN
- Every article that transcludes a given navbox should normally also be included as a link in the navbox. WP:LINKBACK
- It is usually preferable not to use redirected links in navigational templates. WP:BRINT (See exceptions there.)
