    This!!!
This is the size I want the next years Honor Magic9 Pro to be.
6.75 inches wide and 8.6mm thick.
Magic8 Pro now is only 6.71 and 8.3.
Also they can keep the same 7200mAh battery.
Maybe downgrade to 7000mAh in Europe.
They did downgrade to 7100 in outside China and 6270 in Europe.
If they make it bigger and keep the same battery, they can also reinforce it for Europen markets to align with the EU laws.
They really absolutely do not need a bigger battery than 7000mAh.
It would be absolute perfection if we finally get a great battery we deserve.

This phone is just 80 euros so you can't expect it to perform like s26 ultra🤷🤷

So, things obviously had to undergo degradation for the product to still be sell-able at the price it is being launched at.
I wonder if you can find a better new device for the asking price today.

So they went from a 90hz punch-hole display to a 120hz notch display still at 720p and they somehow think that it's an upgrade, this phone should've been left in 2019.

I live in Norway and never saw HMD phones in the shop, that’s why I was asking.Hmd doesnt care about smartphone . they just let market decide , pick what haedware is most profitable , put on stock android , let some intern do back panel design , do bare minimum marketing .

Casio, 16 May 2026Who is buying their phones? What is keeping this company running? I’m really curious to know…Carriers who pre-order thousands of these and sell them for very little profit margin. They buy them for 50-55 euroes and sell them for 80 euroes + benefits. HMD makes multi million contract while producing bare minimum, carrier will eventually sell the phones as "free" gifts if you Subscribe to X / Y plans. The phone will pay itself off ( like 6 euroes a month which is 72 euroes at end of year, after 1 year tax of 12 % it turns into exactly 80-81 euroes). On 24 month contract these phones are literally 2.5 -3 euroes a month. Thats nothing.

For the average European, they dont read the contract, they think they get a free phone and they get essentially a free back up or even main phone to use with large battery and "usable" interface. For 5-6 Euroes a month via carrier these are a steal, considering the average wage in West and North Europe is 3000-4000 euroes.

Example Telekom Germany and Austria do this with cheap Tphones 2/3 and 2/3 Pro. Cheaper motorola models (g85,g85,57,53,neo 50,neo 60 etc) and cheap Xiaomi models (a5,note 14 4g,14C,15C etc), or Samsung A06,07,A16,A17 models.

HMD doesnt care about smartphones. They just need to show the gov they produce "smartphones" to get subsadaries, tenders and investors. Currently they got employees there just to leech off the company funds and become a "competitor". This happens all over Europe, companies pop out of nowhere, relatives make orders or they pay others to make orders, they "send" people to do those orders (they dont"), and satisfied "customers" fill forms, give information or tell the gov things/projects are Done and rate it 5/5. UNtil inspectors come, the gov keeps paying these companies to stay afloat. Passive income basically, by faking jobs, faking projects.

As long as HMD produces the bare minimum, aka: 8 core cpu, 4-6 gb ram, 5500 (and more) mah, repairability A, bluetooth, HD+ screen, wifi (newer versions), most important: 5G and has some sort of usable storage it can produce the BARE minimum smartphone to keep getting funds from gov.

At least it gives more than the previous one but still a terrible choice.
Just buy an old flagship. Trust me, it's way better than this absolute e-waste.
