The Xiaomi 15T series is here - the latest installments in the popular flagship-killer series bring classic designs, premium screens, cutting-edge performance, Leica cameras, and large batteries. Today we will explore the Xiaomi 15T Pro - a smartphone that, at least on paper, strikes a great balance between photography and gaming.
The Xiaomi 15 Pro is a sturdy phone with glass sandwich body and aluminum frame. It comes with enhanced ingress protection, rated for submersion of up to 3m.
The phone is built around a 6.83-inch AMOLED panel with 12-bit color depth, 1280p resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and support for Dolby Vision and HDR10+ content. Around it you get just 1.5mm of bezels, while a sheet of Gorilla Glass 7i sits on top for protection protection.
At the heart of the 15T Pro is the former Mediatek champion - the Dimensity 9400+, paired with rapid UFS 4.1 storage.
The updated Leica camera setup arguably sits closer to the full flagship 15 Pro than any of its T series predecessors. The primary camera on the back retains the impressive 50MP Light Fusion sensor (1/1.31") from OmniVision. Now it's joined by a new 50MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom via a 115mm periscope lens. The unchanged 12MP ultrawide shooter is the least impressive bit around here.
The selfie camera got a small upgrade, too. While it still uses a 32MP Quad-Bayer sensor with fixed focus, it got a new 21mm wide-angle lens, allowing you to fit more in the frame.
The Xiaomi 15T Pro features a 5,500mAh battery that supports 90W wired and 50W wireless charging. That's not even close to a record-breaking battery these days, but still more than a number flagships have to offer.
But obviously what makes the Xiaomi 15T Pro stand out the most is its starting price of €799. That's seriously undercutting the proper flagships and, at least going by the specs, there are only minor concessions that come with it. Let's take a look inside the box and see if that's actually the case.
The 15T Pro ships inside a thin paper box. Its contents are the phone itself and a 6A-rated USB-A-to-C cable.
There is also a dark gray case, which is a welcome bonus and another point for the Xiaomi against the mainstream flagships. The phone also comes with a pre-applied screen protector.
Agreed. I got this phone and I think the only let down of are the sound speakers. They're not so great
on laptop, use vlc to play it. in vlc, click media information to see what codec was used. tvs older than 6 years won't be able to display h265 encoded videos. you can change it to h264 in camera settings
