Anonymous, 04 Nov 2025Why The is new SONY Xperia VII isn't have 4K display only FHD Display From Sony's perspective... 1644 x 3840 resolution displays (from Xperia 1 and Pro series until Xperia VI) renders at 1096 x 2560 except for specific cases e.g. YouTube, gallery, camera etc. Since they already make 1080p displays for Xperia 5 & 10 series, it was consistent to switch to 1080p (even at this price). 1440p no longer exists for Sony phones.

Rating Random Phones pt2: oh hey a Sony. ok but being serious, this phone is peak.
1. 3.5mm jack in the big 26 is insane: so uh, where has this phone been. we all love the headphone jack.
2. SD cards are back?: yes we know every budget device has one, but seeing a flagship with one is insanity.
3. the screen and battery: 120hz is cool, but the screen is a bit large but that isn't a deal breaker with the 5000mAh battery.

This phone deserves a bigger screen and a bigger battery. Otherwise i think it's one of the best phones on the market. Some would also like better cameras, but since i'm not a keen photographer i'd be happy with a lower price. 😁
I think they should copy Samsung's offering for the Galaxy S and come up with two different models on the same Xperia 1. With a little big display and batery.
The rest of me wouldn't even care what they put in extra as long as they don't take in less.
