Genuinely good value. I purchased mine from Best Buy refurbished for under $400 (Canadian) this year in 2026 and it has almost all of the modern features you need. In my opinion much better than a newer midranger.
One of the best value, cameras, and performance in a phone you can buy at this price, as of Q3 2026.

Been using Samsung since their flip phone years and the quality has been declining ever since.
I remember my Note 2, 4, and S8 which were near flawless. Never had a screen issue with them despite the numerous claims from others about lines on the screen.
Then came the S10 where I faced charging issues after a year. I then changed to a Note 20 5G, which the back panel kept coming off after a while (because its made of plastic! for a "flagship" phone!) and the screen had flickering issues. I gave Samsung a last chance with the S23+, and in less than 2 years in, I had screen on the lines. I switched to OnePlus ever since.
It's too much of a coincidence that all the past 3 generations of Samsung phones I've held had issues. It's a product problem. I used to love the quality of Samsung, man.

What is happening with the S23 Plus? It seems a pink line is appearing on the screen of this phone this month. My friend just informed me yesterday that the line just appeared like that with no drop, update, or overheat. This is serious, and I am worried if this issue will affect other models. We need to start lodging complaints to Samsung on all platforms.

how was the battery life with the updates?

Been using this since 2023 launch and still good as day 1. Will use this until Samsung stops supporting it and that's on early 2028. Battry life still got me a full day and performance is still good as I can play some games and multitask well. I don't care about the cameras and the s-pen that's why I chose this over the s23 ultra and I like its flat display.

Mwase, 14 Nov 2025S23+ or A56?S23+ is a flagship with superior cameras & chipset but it'll get only one major update while the A56 a mid range device is due for longer updates but flagship is always better in terms of performance.
