The 12/256 model will make a great work phone if there are at least six years of security updates. The 8/256 one is DOA because it is not future proof.

motofan, 30 Aug 2026Grow up its not 2010!Neither of these features is outdated tbh. Moreover, SONY smartphones still boast both MicroSD and 3.5" jack support (and proper speakers as well), which means there is no specific reason to remove these features from the engineering perspective.

Xiaomi 17T Pro looks like a much better purchase now.
Cameras are on a few levels above in performance and there is a telephoto one.
16GB RAM, 512GB storage at about the same price as this edge 70 max.

The price is the same as the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max, but I think the X8 Pro Max is a more fitting rival for this Moto, as both focus on performance.

How is everyone just f*cking up the efficiency all the time recently? This has an LTPO display, yet still manages to come in with 2 hours worse battery life than the Xiaomi 17T Pro which is itself not keeping up with OnePlus (RIP). Because of that the effective charge rate (which is how long will the phone run after a 15 minute charge because you're off to the pub and want to call an Uber at 2am, by definition this factors in efficiency) is... eh, but at least you can easily use a standard third party charger (or powerbank) to reach that speed.

at the end of the day, its not even a proper motorola. it's just a dressed up Lenovo.
If you say motorola and Lenovo are same, this is the best proof that its not. Along with the tablets and razr phones.
if its actually a motorola edge 70 family phone, it would have been better in a lot of ways.

It's nice to see a flat display, but the move to a glass back instead of vegan leather is a step backwards, as is the camera setup. There are so many models in the Edge 70 range, yet Motorola hasn't nailed it in any of them.

Only one problem with moto mobiles not good single connectivity and don't have there own apps like music player, video player, gallery I'm using moto edge 5g 2021. This mobile is still good in 2026. The only problems I'm facing is low battery life and singles issues. Camera is still good but now I'm planning to change it or buy other mobile for photography. But still love moto because of it solid built quality

I love that motorala is the first to introduce proper qi2 other then the pixels.
I don't understand why they chose this model for introducing qi2?
I want qi2 because I think (MagSafe/qi2)powerbanks are tsimply the best.
