Anonymous, 05 Jun 2026800โ‚ฌ and no LTPO screen ๐Ÿฅ€๐Ÿฅ€ That's why it's so inefficient in the battery tests co... moreNo, the LTPO screen is not the main issue with the battery drain. It probably does have a marginally small increase in efficiency yes.
But ONLY if you don't have anything moving on the screen. I.E reading a book! Browsing the web or watching video will reduce that benefit to something immeasurable.

It's mainly governor/Scheduler tuning. Only A tiny wee bit Display. WiFi should be pretty similar as only the antenna is different but the WiFi chip inside the SoC is the same on all SD8Eg5.

If you run PC Mark work Redmagic starts the "Benchmark mode" and batterylife results are 11h. If you rename the APK so benchmark mode doesn't detect it you get 26h! Score drops from 26'800 to 15'600. Just different CPU and RAM settings!
You can read more of my tests on XDA:

It goes further down to the bottom and up CLOSE to the air duct. But it doesn't connect to the air duct so it does NOT help with cooling the SoC it only transfers the battery heat.
If you use bypass Charging while gaming You can keep the phone way cooler than this waterloop ever.

Though MediaTek doesn't support emulation. So maybe, a OnePlus Nord 6, a Poco F8 Pro, or F8 Ultra instead.

You put Cons on Z80 Ultra as throttles under load. but comparing the results on 11S Pro they are IDENTICAL .they both heats up and throttles to 60-65% performance ๐Ÿ˜† so why dont you also put that as Cons on 11S Pro?

                                    - No bypass charging
                                    - A motherboard that's not meant for heavy gaming, deadboot is waiving
                                    - Its cheaper yes and its one pros of x8 pro max, I also agree that 11SPro's extra $100 needs to be lowering back to $649 they were before..
                                    - DM9500s is basically DM9400, strong but not as strong as even the original 8elite, cant emulate games too.
                                    - Poco is not a dedicated gaming phone so using this phone for hardcore gaming with its standard phone built unlike Redmagic that's built to be a true gaming phone wont last long you'll see. I was a former Poco user too before switching to RM.

                                    - Overall poco x8pro max and Redmagic caters to two different user base. Just pick whichever you want both are loveable devices truth be told.

RedMagic really sells like hotcakes here in Asia, some parts of NA and Europe too because of their affordable price. They even launched physical kiosks in Ch1na, PH, Indon3sia and some parts globally. Hope their prices will improve in the next 12 series.

Anonymous, 06 Jun 2026The fact that this brand still survives shows they have enough customers to keep them afloat. ... moreWell RedMagic has a vast niche user base and customers and they're really selling like hotcakes in some parts in North America, Europe and Asia especially. ZTE also launched several Redmagic physical kiosks in China, Philippines, Indonesia and some parts of the world too. But, they're still mostly on online retails.... Hope the price of their Pro line will go back to $649 or $699 next year for the RM12 lineup...
