The X100U doesn't even have 4K 60p log recording, while the S24 ULTRA from the same period had 4K 120p log recording. The front camera performance is also disappointing.

The 10MP 3x zoom just seens like a waste of space just to get 3 cameras on the back of the phone.
That mibey woukd have been better spent on a bigger and more modern battery.

The S26U just isn't anywhere near the league of an Xiaomi 17U, Vivo X300U and Oppo find X8 Ultra / 9Ultra.
It isn't even in the League of the Vivo X100U camera wise.
The S26U is in the wrong Priceclass as it compares to other middle class Ultras, not the Flagship class.

S26U: 1TB/16GB 1749€ and the Only thing better on it is it's CPU.
Doesn't have a better Camera, not even an 125W charger in the Box, doesn't even have 125W Charging in the first Place.
1749€ ain't the cheapest Ultra Phone around.
If the Phone has to be from this year, there is the Poco F8 Ultra.

The part that tech or phone enthusiasts can't understand is, people know there are far better phones out there, but they don't care for what is the best. They care for what they got used to.
I'm not saying S26 Ultra is the best phone. It's not. Far from it. But for mainstream it is the best in Android world.
I'm saying, for the mainstream, there is no other than 3 or 4 major phone brands and each belongs to their category
They will ignore other brands, because they don't want to invest their time to educate them self You are doing that and thinking everybody is the same.
You can blame lazy companies, or people not having the same passion as tech enthusiasts have, but the fact is still here.
Like it or not, but for the mainstream normies and average Joes Samsung is the best offer in Android.
Every brand has their value in something. You, just like everybody else just need to find what suits best for you and your wallet
Motorola - probably the best value in mid-range category if you like almost stock Android, but not care for software support
OnePlus - flagship killer category (everything great or above average except the camera results)
Nothing - pretty new and still uknown, but people with the eye for aesthetics will appreciate something different
Xiaomi - great all rounded phones, but not many people globaly will buy their flagships, they are strong in budget-conscious devices especially in India, also their UI is not for everyone, it has a lot of bloatware, not as much as One UI but still a lot
Poco, Redmi - great value for the price with Poco's focus on performance side and Redmi's focus on all rounded phones
Apple iPhone - the only one that is totally different, in their own category, love it or hate it, but the fact is people love them, it's the only choice for people that got used to iOS
Samsung - boring but safe choice, not the best, not the worst, heavy bloatware in One UI, but Samsung fans got used to it
Google Pixel - at first known as camera oriented phone for mainstream audience, later the focus was on AI and software experience, not yet a globally released, enthusiasts don't like their prices equaling other flagship phones because of their lack-luster mid-range performance, but normies wouldn't know or care for these benchmark numbers anyway
Oppo and vivo can keep putting money into sponsoring all sort of sport events, but for the mainstream audience they still lack brand recognition, other than that, they are well known for their crazy camera and under display inventions, but still not enough to be obvious choice for the mainstream

Most people earn 80-90 percentile of the people earn less than 200 dollars or 160 Pounds per month...
For people earning 2000 dollars or 2400 dollars Per YEAR.. Spending 1000 dollars only just on phone almost half of your Yearly Income would be stupid management..
Statistically I would say.. only 3-5 % of the people only can afford 1000 USD phones or any electronics for that matter.. I think 3 per cent is even too much that i am saying..
They would purchase 800-1000 USD motorbike or personal vehicle instead...

And Vivo with the X100pro even had it at F/2.5 (be it only at 100mm)
The only things the new style did was saving a bit of space internally and having a much lower min. focus ramge of 52cm now, Making it really not useful for Telemacro anymore which the S25U could still do.
But changing the design of the 5x Unit didn't enable the wider F stop. Otherwise the Pixel wouldn't already have archived F/2.8 with the old one.

Omg, guys, you keep singing the same "5x zoom is a basic camera" story. Samsung confirmed already it's their new ALoP design, there IS a prism inside this module and this change allowed them the wider aperture:

but i think despite the ui, not much improvement here and there, samezonk must give more to they buyers like chinese makers as appreciation
like start adding softcase, screen protector (even its plastic not glass), give basic cable some nice upgrades (like braided one apple start giving to their buyers).
I've been thinking, if nokia didn't stubborn when android early adoption and give it try, maybe now they will thrive and serve better than samezonk do 🤣
