Although it has a 6000mAh battery, its battery life is absurdly bad. A few months ago, an update added an always-on display AOD feature, but with this feature enabled, the brightness is very low, and the battery life is only 4-5 hours. Besides the camera, this phone has no other advantages. The audio recording and speaker quality are also very poor.

With both still working in 2026 with the original batteries they came with. Samsung's golden era is way past. After green lines appeared on TWO of my Samsung's within a year, I moved to Xiaomi ..... Never going back to sh*tsung.

Sadly Samsung have gone MIA over... morei have also the S23 Ultra with Gcam Mod.Amazing Quality of Fotos compared to the Stock Cam.You wont believe what super Pics the Gcam LMC8.4 spits.I have changed the Battery last Week and ill keep it at least for another 1 or 2 Years.I have the 500GB Version,so no Problem with enough Memory.

My 25U is the king of all Samsungs for a foreseeable future. Because s26U is clearly down the slope. Actually S24U should have been be the king, because functionally and camerawise it was the most complete phone. If only it had rounded corners... Now we have Samsung cutting corners where it hurts the user.

If your provider has caused issues with an RMA maybe you need to try a different provider, Europe has pretty good consumer protection laws and the retailer in this case is your single point of contact.

The privacy screen does appear to have some disadvantages to screen quality at an angle while off but it's certainly a lot better than those IPS corporate laptops with the same technology, overall it's actually a very good implementation for those who actually need it and could be worth the notably shorter battery life compared to Oppo or OnePlus for that market.
It would be a lot easier to see what that improved charging speed actually means if there was a 'you get this much screen time for a 15 minute charge' or whatever, it's really hard to compare when they all have different battery sizes and different efficiency tuning.

Considering jumping from S22U to S26U. It’d cost me €1300 for the 1TB model through my provider. Not feeling Oppo at all, a buddy of mine and his girl had a disaster with their Find X5 Pros. Both cameras blurred out in two weeks and it took 4 months of back and forth for a refund. Not sure about Vivo either, they’re "Chinese phones" like Xiaomi, and I’m still wary of Xiaomi's crappy software and lack of updates. At least that used to be a problem. Plus, my provider only carries Oppo and Samsung anyway. I don't know whether to wait for the Oppo Find X9 Ultra and count on trouble free service, or take the S26U.

Are the measurements right? My girlfriend literally upgraded from an S23 ultra to an S26 ultra and the screen size seemed smaller. I've seen them show a 6.7" figure as well. The old squared off design gave you more screen but the actual size seems smaller as well.

It caps at 4k 60log, with a Limit of 5 Minute recording (about 60GB)
The Vivo Flagships cap at 4K 60log as well, though I don't know if they also have an 5 Minute Limit.

I've owned a lot of Samsung phones since the first Note. Sadly Samsung have gone MIA over the past few years and the S26U is just boring with cameras bordering on average now. My S23 ultra is going great, but the battery is struggling a bit so it might be time to look at another brand.

And considering that Samsung literally supplied 10 bit panels to their competitor yet only offer 8 bit support for their own phone, this feels like a scam. As expected of Scamsung...
