Seen an Italian reviewer, this phone has serious software issues, poor toogle bar and camera app. Video recorded lags both in 30 and 60 frames , when switching zooms there is a 2 sec lag. Terrible phone for 1300 euro
Doesn't matter how good the hardware is, if the software support is subpar
Anonymous, 21 Feb 2026Thanks, but why not in the text? Are you thinking of dropping this in reviews? For me this is ... moreUsually there's an 'Extra Dim' feature, so you can lower your brightness even more. At least I have this on my Moto G Power 5G 2024 with A15 on board.
I am using motorola signature from past 3 weeks. I have vivo x200 pro also. Biggest difference I can see is skin tones and colors. Which are natural compare to vivo x200 pro. And hardware and software are fast and clean. Weight is also biggest factor to buy this. Battery is good enough to get complete day. Video quality can be further tuned.. easily fixable with update. I got moto watch also and I would say it nailed on essentials.. no fancy features but health related data and tracking and app are accurate and good.
Anonymous, 21 Feb 2026Moto has overpriced this phone to high hell in Europe. It costs around 600 euro equivalent in India its only 500 Euros in India, so its a great deal
Knowing how bad Motorola's track record has been for providing support for there smartphones I find it really hard to believe that your ever going to see a full 7 years of OS and security updates. Just look how long it took them them to bring an OS upgrade to Android 16. The Signature smartphone isn't worth it. Now if your in the market for an Android smartphone then go with either Google or Samsung as they offer guaranteed 7 years of OS and security updates.
I switched form an S25 Ultra and i am happy with the Signature. Batterylife ist better and
with a discount i got it for € 800 inkl. Moto Watch an Moto Buds Loop. Camera and Speakers are very good.

Gsm Arena wrote to the Signature that you can expect to lose on performance while gaming, but they didn't actually test it.
Again, in Benchmarks Most Phones have higher Power draw limits including Motorola, to push higher scores, but they can't maintai that usually. Games only Push 3-6W and it's only necessary to know if the Phone can maintain this power draw forever.
At Notebookcheck, you can see that the Edge 30U had an max power draw of 12W in Benchmarks, which is why it throttles there a lot. (https://www.notebookcheck.net/Motorola-Edge-30-Ultra-review-The-first-smartphone-with-a-200-MP-camera.659481.0.html)
In Games the Phone was drawing closer to 4.5W of power, and renaming the package from Geekbench to that of Genshin, made the phone lowwr it's Single core score to around 1k and multi core to 4k, which is why it maintains that forever.
It's Important to know how the Phone manages its power draw in games, and if it can sustain it.

At minute 7 here, absolutely Breaking down to 30.

Due to the screen recording the average is a bit lower than 53, but you can see the Phone is in the same 40 -50s as when it started.
Indoors was 60 because less map to load.

Superpower2030, 21 Feb 2026You need to provide video proof for all that. It reads like total nonsense.https://youtu.be/WXkCf6cqkmI
6:48 here you can see it not throttle at all and can even maintain 5W power draw in Wuthering waves permanently, with him only getting 3.6W power draw In Genshin.
Superpower2030, 21 Feb 2026You need to provide video proof for all that. It reads like total nonsense. Here at 8:20 Performance Throttling is mentioned but you can see the signature throttles to 2/3 performance few seconds later you can see that it Runs Genshin maxed out and stabilised at 36°C after about 10 Minutes. Never going to throttle.

I have a similar experience with my Edge 50U, running the game at 45 to 60FPS until the battery dies, staying at around 42°C Same thing with the Edge 30U I had before, performance in games is identical to the Edge 50U, afterall, the 8+gen1 and 8sgen3 are pretty much the same.
