Redmagic continuing to exist probably shows that what is big deal for you (translation) is a nothing burger for others for what they get at that price.
Same with Samsung Galaxy A55 with better support and weaker chip not being worth $200 for me over the poco x6 pro.

Those selfies are terrible. And why release a phone with such poor quality speakers? Surely decent speakers wouldn't add much to the price in 2026. Now that midrange chips are so powerful, we should see OEMs using cheaper chips and putting the money towards speakers and cameras (even if that means just optimising the cameras).

Polished software can hardly be used as an excuse for the big difference in price. And what I heard/read here is that Asus was also not exemplary with that software support to be honest.

1.) Not sure I like that slightly curved back, but except this I like the design.
2.) Battery life could have been better for that capacity, but It's still pretty good.
3.) The fan is totally useless, could have been without It and having higher IP rating.
4.) Graphic sustained performance is very good, but CPU is pretty bad at 54%.
5.) Cameras are not a priority for me
6.) Still bad English translation? Embarrassing to be honest.
Price looks very good to be honest and I can forgive a lot of disadvantages for It.
The phone with this SoC is POCO F8 Pro 12 GB/512 GB for 589 €.
Both have pros and cons.

ROG was definitely more expensive for a reason, software was polished but lost importantly properly translated.
I don't know who is translating RedMagic it's OS, they do a piss poor job if even Google translate can do it better to English.
